Eurasianism, understood as an intellectual or ideological doctrine, is notoriously difficult to characterize, given its conceptual plasticity and its changing inflection through its many historical and geographical variations. With this complexity in mind, “The Politics of Eurasianism” seeks to provide a general theme for a workshop devoted to an comprehensive discussion of the manifold manifestations of Eurasian concepts in the politics and political cultures of Russia, post-Soviet space, and beyond. This event seeks to map the presence and role of tropes and narratives directly related to (or reminiscent of) Eurasianist thinking.
