STUDENTS!! Tomorrow IAAS Sweden will arrange an open meeting at the union for all union members. We will talk about the organisation, our work and some exiting future plans that you can be a part of🤩
We will serve coffee and vegan, gluten free FIKA☕️🍪

Day 6
We started the day with a visit to a couple that are following the life style of permaculture.
They provided some really good gardening tips!
After that the journey was unfortunately over for us. Sweden was longing for us to come back.
The rest of the group continued with a visit to a food laboratory in Aarau. In the evening followed the all-time favorite Trade fair. A standing IAAS event where each participating country presents brought and cooked food, drinks and sweets from their country.
Switzerland for example offered cheese fondue and Spain sangria. As you understand we were sad to miss it...
The day after they had brunch and then departures!
That is an exchange week, hope you too are excited to experience one!😁❤️

Day 5
In the morning we visited the biotech company Syngenta who produces agrochemicals and seeds. First we had a presentation about their work which was followed by a tour around the facility.
After lunch at Syngenta we went to Zürich for some exploring of the city.
Then we tried Power Point karaoke at the University. Which was an improvised presentation for 2 minutes with random topics decided straight before you begun talking and with slides you had not seen before.
Laughed alot 😄
After eating burritos at the University we then went to a jam session were one of our lovely swiss IAASer preformed for us🎶

Day 4
We visited the company Ricola that produce different candies all consisting of a special herbal blend with 13 herbs, which are grown in Switzerland. We where invited to the herbal site to look at how the herbs are processed and we also learnt about the production steps to the finished candy. In the end we received a generous goddie bag! 😁
After that we took a car ride through the landscape for a hike, which was followed by lunch over an open fire.
As if that wasn't enough for one day, in the evening we raised money to the development fund by having an auction. Each country had brought some items to sell and the money went to the IAAS initiative "The Development Fund" (which you can read more about here -->) https://www.iaasworld.org/development-fund/
For example a package of snus was sold for about 10€. 🎉

Day 3:
In the morning we had soft skill training which is arranged by IAAS trainers.
This time we were focusing on "Presentation skills" or "Public speaking" by doing different practical exercises and group discussions. A great way to practice and develope skills that you are constantly using.
In the afternoon we went to the chocolate company Frey! 😍
First we got to make our own Easter bunny's and then we had a tour to learn about all the production steps.
Finally we were offered an unlimited amount of chocolate from a conveyor belt full of different flavor, sorts, shapes you name it, as well as dryed fruits to dip in chocolate fountains. 🍫

Day 2:
We went to the capital city Bern, which was incredibly beautiful!
First we visited the Parliament Building and then we had an afternoon of free time to explore the city. We even had a local, who knew the city, as our guide.

Day 1:
The first day we arrived in Zürich and then went to an exhibition called food revolution 5.0 with focus on new innovations and techniques that can be used to feed the growing world population.
After that we went in minibusses to our new home which was a scout house just outside of the cute city of Aarau.
There we had a kitchen, a fireplace and bunkbeds.

Just nu befinner sig bland annat IAAS Sveriges ena Exchange Coordinator Livia på ExCo-möte i Rabat, Marocko🇲🇦 Ett ExCo-möte är ett möte för alla Exchange Coordinators från vardera medlemsland där man gör gemensamma aktiviteter och övningar med mera för att utveckla organisationen. Igår (bild 2) träffade gänget ambassadörer från nästan alla närvarande IAAS-länder, bland annat den svenske ambassadören i Rabat, Niklas Kebbon🌻

Right now, one of IAAS Sweden’s Exchange Coordinators Livia is in Rabat, Morocco to attend the ExCo-meeting there🇲🇦 An ExCo-meeting is a meeting for all exchange coordinators in every member country of IAAS where they participate in activities and training to develop the organisation! Yesterday (picture 2) did the group meet the ambassadors from almost all participating member country. Among all, they met the Swedish ambassador in Rabat, Niklas Kebbon🌻
