I miss my family so much.

As the fall equinox approaches, I'm reflecting on this year's midsummer celebration with my family in Sweden. Singing, dancing, eating, drinking, swimming, sauna-bathing, playing games, making flower crowns, and just being together.

In these photos you can see me at my happiest. Rare moments of feeling connected to the land, to my roots, to the people around me - of actually feeling like I kinda belong somewhere.

Flowers of Yosemite 🥰

Spent the weekend alone with Fox in Yosemite! 🏕🦊💕 I got to float in healing waters for the end of Cancer season, and we slept under the stars and the blue full moon in Capricorn 🌝🌌💖

I highly recommend the Wawona area south of Yosemite Valley! Our campsite was right next to a beautiful river. 😍💧 We had fun discovering new plants and hiking around the Wawona meadow, still full of flowers despite the heat. 💐🌞

This year I was excluded from my old friend group's Yosemite trip, so I decided to book my own. In recent years I've thankfully gotten much better at spending time alone. If I'd waited for someone to come with me, I wouldn't have done or seen so many things that I've really enjoyed. It's lovely being able to do exactly what I want and listen to my own needs and intuition, with just my little familiar for company. 💞  But it does get lonely sometimes, especially being surrounded by people enjoying time with their loved ones. Someday I hope I'll experience that joy again. Either way, I'm so grateful for this beautiful weekend! 🙏

I have an announcement: meet my new son and familiar, Fox! 🦊 He's a 1-year old Chihuahua terrier mix of some kind, who completely stole my heart in the blink of an eye. 😍 We've spent a week together and so far he's been such a perfect angel! 😇 I've really wanted a pet for years now, and am so incredibly blessed and happy to finally have taken the leap. 🙏 I adopted him on April 19th, exactly a year after the 2023 eclipse when my long-term relationship ended and my world turned upside down. Now I finally have a companion, and Fox is the only little man I'll ever need! 💖
