Last week Uppsala University hosted a Teaching Sustainability to Entrepreneurship Students (TES) workshop. It was a hybrid event where we had participants from Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, U.K. and Ireland.

More than 100 workshops / sessions with research groups and individual researchers will take place in this virtual setting. The participants will present previous work, results and ideas that they wish to build further on, and some will be open to initiating something completely new, for example the lone researchers presenting their field of interest and what they wish to collaborate within. SASUF Goes Digital will also offer student-led sessions as well as sessions by non-university organizations that are interested in initiating collaborations with universities, researchers and students.

We are back from Mo i Rana! Göran and Olivia (from Department of civil and industrial engineering), and Marta (from Unit for global partnerships) have participated in a 3-day meeting during which they worked on developing a Train-the-trainer guide for Teaching Entrepreneurship for Sustainability (TES) 👌. Thank you to all the participants for great discussions, and to Senter for Industriell Forretningsutvikling ved Nord Universitet - SIF for hosting us so well!

Welcome back from the summer vacations! Att UU Global we are back on track and looking forward to the autumn activities. First to come is TES workshop in Mo i Rana campus of Nord universitet. Between 29-31 of August we will be joined there by our partners from University of Groningen to build a train-the-trainer guide for Teaching Entrepreneurship for Sustainability. Stay tuned!

Today was the EASTEM Final Dissemination Event, where we had an opportunity to hear speeches from Vice president for Academic Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chutamas Satasook from Prince of Songkla University in Thailand; Vice Rector from Johan Tysk from Uppsala University and Prof. & Chair of the Department of Learning in Engineering Sciences Prof. Arnold Neville Pears from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
The speeches were followed by panel discussions on "EASTEM Project in a broader context" and "Knowledge gained from teaching & learning methodologies. Great thanks for the panelists Mr. Le Vinh Chien (Vice Director of Information Technology Department of Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam); Ms. Sumittra Nimkornchai (CEO of Imagineering Education Co.,Ltd., Thailand); Ms. Cecilia Johansson (Dean of education at Faculty of Science and Technology, Sweden); Mr. Narenda Wicaksono (Entrepreneur, founder of a startup DICODING, Indonesia); Dr. Merry Meryam Martgrita (Dean of Faculty of Biotechnology at Del Institute of
Technology, Indonesia); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wannapong Triampo (STEM Education and Chairperson of the BioInnovation Program (International) Faculty of Science Mahidol University, Thailand) & Dr. Nguyen Vu Lan (Deputy Head of Office of Science Technology and International Affairs, HCMUTE, Vietnam).

EASTEM Final week is going to an end. Wednesday and Thursday we had an opportunity to follow local activities in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. Vietnam partners have shared their perspectives on "Dissemination of achievements in Vietnam partner universities"; Thailand partners have shared the information "From Teaching & Learning Best Practices to STEM Education Research and Innovation: A Step Toward Sustainable Development"; and Indonesian partners shared their SCL (student-center-education) experience and MBKM practices, related to the EASTEM project in Indonesia. Yesterday started EASTEM Final Dissemination week with full program! On Monday we had an internal meeting with EASTEM partners where we worked on project finalisation questions using virtual World Café method. Today our partners in Thailand at Prince of Songkla University (PSU) hold an virtual workshop on "Driving new teaching and learning approach through STEM education" (In Thai). The webinar was very sucessfull and reached up to 150 attendees!
