We are pleased to announce the soft launch of the “ITA Alumni Network”.

This marks the beginning of a more structured and coordinated effort to strengthen connections among Uppsala’s ITA alumni. Over the years, alumni engagement has developed organically through events, guest contributions, and informal professional exchanges. We are now building on that foundation to create a more consistent and sustainable platform for collaboration.

In the coming months, alumni can expect some alumni activity, including professional events, mentorship initiatives, alumni success stories, and other possibilities to engage across jurisdictions and sectors. Our aim is to foster a strong and active community that supports one another professionally.

We look forward to shaping this next phase together.

Stay tuned for upcoming updates and opportunities to get involved.

This 05 February 2026 marked a memorable and intellectually rewarding moment for the Master’s Programme in Investment Treaty Arbitration, Class of 2026. Professor Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler’s talk on “Corruption before Investment Tribunals” provided the cohort with rare insight into how some of the most complex and sensitive issues in investment arbitration are addressed in practice. Her reflections prompted the class to engage critically with questions of doctrine, evidence, and legitimacy, extending well beyond textbook learning.

Equally impactful was the setting itself, which brought together students, academics, counsel, arbitrators, and public officials in a shared space. Experiencing this exchange of perspectives firsthand highlighted the core strength of the Uppsala University Master’s Programme in Investment Treaty Arbitration: the ability to connect rigorous academic training with real-world practice and a dynamic professional community. Moments like these are shaping the academic and professional journey of the Class of 2026.
