In August 2015 IES Umeå will open at Bölevägen 44 in Teg, in a building which is now transformed into a custom-designed, very nice and functional school. Internationella Engelska Skolan is one of Sweden´s leading independent schools, with a clear focus on quality education. To command the English language – the key to the world. Up to half of our teaching is in English, performed by certified native English-speaking teachers. A safe and orderly environment, where teachers can teach and students learn. Internationella Engelska Skolan’s results on the national tests are far above average for Swedish schools. Our schools are approved by the National Schools Inspectorate (Skolinspektionen) and follow the Swedish curriculum. There are no fees to attend. In compliance with the school law, we base admission on the principle of first-come, first-served. An early application provides a more favorable position in the queue.
