Enter IAAM’s Stockholm Net Zero Charter — a timely call to collective action uniting industry, science, cities, and policymakers in the race to net-zero.

When UN innovation policy and IAAM’s Charter align, a powerful opportunity emerges: harnessing frontier technologies and inclusive innovation to deliver real climate impact and leave no one behind.

The UN’s “UN 2.0” strategy places innovation, foresight, and people-centred design at the heart of accelerating SDG progress. The IAAM Council has entrusted its Secretariat with establishing the Net Zero Technology Consortium, to be launched during the 65th Assembly of the Advanced Materials Congress, with its inaugural meeting on 18 August 2025.

Only through collective action uniting science, industrial capability, financial innovation, and public policy can we build a sustainable, carbon-neutral economy. The Consortium will foster a global ecosystem for innovation and deployment, ensuring that advanced materials and technologies for energy, mobility, and industry directly contribute to IAAM’s Net Zero Tech 2030 mission.
The United Nations is scaling up its innovation agenda through tools like the UN Innovation Toolkit, which builds innovation capacity across UN bodies by offering 21 tools, case studies, and a diagnostic assessment: https://www.unssc.org/un-innovation-toolkit
