"The human isn't near as interesting to work with as the horse. The horse is always wide open to you. There's no selfishness, no pride or ego in his way and a lot of times the human has things in his way to hold him back.
I think most humans really want to get along with the animals. But what they don't know is that self-preservation is very strong in a horse. The horse is scared, doesn't know how to do something and wants to protect himself. He's telling us he has to be sure of what's taking place. We don't look at it that way.
Most things we want to do with animals are good ideas, but our presentation isn't right. It's too demanding. We're not letting the horse learn it and not fixing it so HE can make it happen. The horse can figure things out, if we allow him, but we're taking his mind away from him and replacing it with ours." - Ray Hunt.

Om du månar om din häst ska du låta den gå utomhus året om, helst på stora ytor och i flock. På köpet får du färre skador på hästen och en bättre ekonomi.

Femte gången vi rider runt lite, lillen (BLA Magnificent) är så jäkla cool ❤️❤️

Det är härligt när "insittning" inte är en "övning" eller något vi "tränar" på utan ett samtal vi har och något vi testar tillsammans. För mig handlar ridning först om tillit och lugn, att våga låta sig bäras och att våga bära, därför är det vi använder oss av och det vi lär oss.
Vår grund ligger inte i övningar eller ledarskap, utan i ömsesidigt förtroende, kärlek och nyfikenhet. Det mesta hittills har vi löst med det (och en o annan morot 😉🥕).

Ibland (eller ganska ofta) är det bra att stanna upp en stund och fundera igenom vad, hur och varför. Lasttränar idag på ett helt annat sätt än för några år sen, och det funkar så mkt bättre! Lastträning är så kul!

I have to make up for being away for some time. So here's another one! I'm on fire! LITERALLY
