Call for Applications: Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia Research Stipend 2026 🇻🇳🇱🇦🇰🇭

Researchers in the social sciences primarily in research institutions in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, are invited to apply for the Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia Research Stipend 2026, hosted by the Stockholm Center for Global Asia, Stockholm University. The stipend supports a 1–3 month research stay in Stockholm during April–June or September–November 2026. It is open to researchers focusing on development, democracy, and human rights in one of the three countries — or in comparative perspective across them.

About the donor: The Association Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia (Föreningen Vietnam, Laos, Kambodja) was a non-partisan and non-religious solidarity organization dedicated to supporting the peoples of the three countries. Its work focused on disseminating knowledge about their political, economic, social, and cultural developments, and on contributing to dialogue and support for democracy and human rights. Upon its dissolution, the Association decided to donate its remaining funds to the Stockholm Center for Global Asia, Stockholm University, to continue fostering research in this spirit.
