I’m thrilled to share that my inclusive s*x education project WWW.EROEDU.EU has received a distinction award in the / Switch into Universal Design competition, organised by and .org.pl in Poland! 🏆🏆🏆
This recognition means a lot to me, because the whole idea behind the competition is to highlight solutions that make everyday life more accessible, equal and human-centred = exactly what EROEDU was created for.
The jury appreciated the educational value of EROEDU, particularly its tactile and playful nature, which enables people to learn through touch, interaction, and conversation. They highlighted that the toolkit offers a safe, visually neutral and engaging way to explore human anatomy, gender diversity and reproductive rights. They also noted that EROEDU is designed for people of different ages, abilities, knowledge levels, and cultural backgrounds, including blind and low-vision users, Deaf users, and anyone who learns better through sensory experiences. 🌺
This project started in 2017 with a simple intention: to make s*x education more inclusive and accessible, and to reduce the shame and stigma that so often surround our bodies. Since then, EROEDU has been used in schools, clinics and homes across Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and South Africa. It has been shaped by hundreds of conversations, workshops, user tests and the generous feedback of educators, therapists and young people. 💡
Receiving this distinction is a reminder that the work towards more equal education matters and that inclusive design can truly change the way we learn and talk about our bodies. 💗
Thank you to the organisers, the jury and everyone who has been supporting EROEDU on this long journey. It’s a huge boost to keep going, keep improving and keep pushing for education that leaves no one behind.
