Another has landed 📣
This one’s about how we can think about integrating AI in entrepreneurship education, something we know many educators are currently working through – whether entirely voluntarily or not.
Heather Bell and Robin Bell's conceptual paper offers a framework that can hopefully help both educators and students, as AI keeps shifting what entrepreneurs do and, naturally, what future entrepreneurs need to learn.

A huge thank you to Chris Rider for joining us at SSES again and sharing his knowledge so generously with this year’s "Designing Empirical Research in Entrepreneurship" participants.
Research design can get messy fast, but with the right guidance, it becomes a little sharper, clearer, and less intimidating.

Another edition of “Assessing the Value of Medical Innovation” has come to an end 🎓
In this intense and rewarding course run, the participating PhD students and researchers came together from a range of different disciplines to explore what it takes for research to create value beyond the lab.
Between company visits, expert perspectives, case work, final projects, and a well-earned closing scavenger hunt around Stockholm, participants got a firsthand look at the complex journey from research to real-world impact.
A huge thank you to course leader Dr. Samer Yammine, our partners at Karolinska Institutet and the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, and all the guest speakers and organisations who shared their expertise throughout the course.
And of course, thank you to all participants for the curiosity, engagement, and thoughtful discussions that made this year's course such a great experience.

What a great session 🙌
A big thank you to Michela Loi and everyone who joined us for this Educator Workshop.
One thing Michela said that will stay with me:
“Entrepreneurship isn’t emancipatory by nature – we have to want it to be.”
Now we wait and see who Michela nominates as the next speaker 👀
Have a great weekend, everyone!

A new Research Recap is out ✨
(For those new here: these are our short, accessible summaries of new research in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education.)
This one looks at the “role model effect”, specifically what happens when female students are exposed to successful female entrepreneurs.
The findings suggest that role models do more than inspire. They shape whether entrepreneurial careers feel imaginable in the first place.

A strange thing about teaching is that you can spend years developing your practice, while very rarely getting to hear how other people are thinking through the same challenges.
Our Educator Workshops are an attempt to create more of those conversations.
You now have one week left to sign up for the next one, hosted by Michela Loi on May 29. 📅
A lot of people in our network have signed up already, but if you know someone who’d enjoy this kind of discussion, feel free to share it with them.

There’s something refreshing about conversations that don’t immediately try to become “best practices”.
A lot of these Educator Workshops are really just spaces to think out loud together for a while, using current research as a starting point rather than an answer sheet.
Next session: Michela Loi on entrepreneurship and emancipation – and what it actually means for entrepreneurship education to support freedom, agency, and autonomy in practice.

What a weekend!
Together with Ebba Laurin we hosted the “Becoming Who You Want to Be” Weekend Workshop, and it was a really great one.
Two days of talking about things like motivation, direction, and self-leadership. Lots of honest organic conversations, people sharing their own experiences, and others picking up on it.
Ebba’s energy, expertise, and empathy guided the room and shaped the experience into something that felt both relevant and grounded, and I think you can almost see that in the pictures.
Thank you to everyone who participated, and to Ebba for leading it with such care and presence.

Right now, we’re hiring:
• Course Assistants

Psst! We’re also hiring an Office Assistant!
