This week was something special — a collaborative meeting with one of our sister clubs, combining energy, creativity, and superpowers from both sides! ⚡️
💫 Opening
President Arezou welcomed all participants with warmth and gratitude, giving a special shout-out to Dona for bringing a fantastic group of guests and helping make the joint evening happen.
🎤 Toastmaster – Mubeen
Mubeen crafted a perfect theme for a joint meeting: Unite the Superpowers.
Through interactive group exercises, he helped everyone:

He kicked off with Captain Planet — reminding us that when we unite, we create real magic.

AJ hosted a fun and lively Table Topics session using cards filled with superpowers, tricks, and treats — sparking bold, entertaining impromptu speeches.
Jumana delivered a constructive and encouraging evaluation.

✨ Stockholm Speakers Club – Workshop Night Recap (27 October 2025) ✨
What an energizing and insightful evening at our special workshop night! 💡
Our evening began with Dan, who warmly welcomed everyone and introduced the agenda. His positive energy and clear direction set the perfect tone for an evening of self-discovery and growth.
Then Johanna took the stage — and instantly captivated the audience with a heartfelt personal story. She shared a powerful truth: everything is created twice — first in the mind, then in reality. 🌱
Through her engaging storytelling and interactive exercises, Johanna helped participants explore their belief systems, reflect on what holds them back, and ultimately discover their inner superpowers — the strengths and values that make each of us unique. 💫
In small groups, everyone participated in reflective discussions and spontaneous, impromptu-style responses to thought-provoking questions. The room was filled with laughter, honesty, and inspiration as members uncovered new perspectives about themselves and others. 🎤
This workshop beautifully tied together self-awareness, storytelling, and public speaking, showing that confidence begins when we understand our story — and embrace the power within it.
💪 Every participant left with renewed energy, fresh insights, and a reminder that our true superpower is believing in ourselves.

Theme: Knowing When to Let Go
The evening opened with our Vice President of Education Erik Johansson, who shared a powerful story about a boy terrified of public speaking — and how that fear disappeared once he simply started speaking. A beautiful reminder that courage often comes not before, but after, we take the first step. 🌟
Our Toastmaster of the Day, Jumana Alomary, continued with warmth and openness. She introduced the theme “Knowing When to Let Go” through a personal story that resonated deeply with the audience. Her ability to connect with honesty set a reflective and inspiring tone for the entire evening.
🎤 Table Topics – Thinking on Your Feet
Arshad (AJ) led the impromptu speaking session with creativity, inviting both members and guests to step up and share their thoughts. The enthusiasm was contagious — the stage was alive with spontaneous energy.
Mubeen A. delivered a thoughtful Table Topics evaluation, offering constructive and encouraging feedback to everyone who dared to speak on the spot.
🎤 Prepared Speeches – Stories that Stay with You
Raymond – “There are Lies, Damned Lies, and Then There Are Statistics”
With sharp wit and humor, Raymond explored how statistics can sometimes mislead us. It was a clever, engaging speech from his Engaging Humor pathway that left the audience both laughing and reflecting.

Faizal Mahroof – “In the Bed at Midnight”
An emotional, deeply engaging second speech that showcased tonal variety and vulnerability. Faizal drew us into his world and kept the room hanging on his every word.

Our General Evaluator Faizal Mahroof closed the evening by weaving together observations and insights from across the meeting. His feedback emphasized not just what we did well, but how we can grow — showing once again the true value of Toastmasters.

Our Club President Arezou set the tone with a heartfelt welcome to all guests and members. She shared a touching story of a little girl and reminded us that public speaking is not a stage to fear, but a playground to explore with curiosity and joy. 🎠

With warmth and energy, May Isen introduced the evening’s theme: “It’s all in the mind”. Her guidance kept the flow engaging and meaningful.

The evening began with a heartfelt welcome from our Stand-in President Stephen Svanholm 🙌. Then, with elegance and purpose, our Toastmaster of the Evening Dan Svedén took the reins and guided us through a warm, inspiring, and energetic session.

With learning, laughter, and applause echoing through the room, the evening proved once again that constructive feedback doesn’t just make better speakers—it builds stronger communities.

Last Monday, we had an exciting evening at Stockholm Toastmasters with Faizal stepping up as Toastmaster for the very first time. He masterfully guided us through the theme "On Purpose", members and guests alike brought the topic to life with insightful, entertaining reflections that lit up the room.
We were treated to a series of memorable speeches:
Harald, true to form, took us on an emotional travel, so gripping we nearly had to shout, “Stop it!”
Mubeen reminded us of the power of negotiation, emphasising that real success lies in finding the win-win.
Erik brought us back to our playful roots, encouraging us to nurture curiosity on his first speech, hooray!
The second part of the meeting focused on feedback and evaluations, with Ursula leading the session with clarity and poise. Kudos to her and the entire feedback team for delivering thoughtful, constructive insights! Big thanks to everyone who made the evening inspiring, fun, and meaningful.

Join us at for yet another exciting club meeting this evening in Room 522 at Folkuniversitetet in Stockholm. 6:30pm. Our Toastmaster Of The Week Faizal will take the reins for the first time and lead us purposefully through the theme of the week, "On Purpose".
And we will enjoy speeches, with a chance for feedback from everyone, from Harald, and Mubeen. Erik will give his first speech, the Icebreaker.
Plus, you can try your hand at a short impromptu speech with a random question from our Table Topic Master Raymond.
