Jobbsprånget - Connecting employers and foreign-born academics. Our aim is to speed up the introduction to the Swedish labour market. Jobbsprånget is a four-month-long internship programme financed by the Swedish government (via Tillväxtverket) and the Wallenberg foundation. In order to apply to Jobbsprånget you have to fulfil the following criteria:
- You hold an academic degree (bachelor’s, mast

er’s, or higher) for the positions you have applied for
- You were born outside of Europe (including both EU and non-EU countries, except for individuals born in Ukraine who are currently in Sweden under the Temporary Protection Directive and registered in the Population Register)
- You hold a valid work permit visa (student visas or visas connected to a specific employer are not eligible)
- You have proficient English and/or Swedish skills, both spoken and written
- You’re registered as an active job seeker with Arbetsförmedlingen and have had a planning call with a case officer

Visit jobbspranget.se. Apply to the internship positions that you find relevant. The employers will contact the chosen candidates for an interview. The next application period opens on the 16th of July. Idag engagerar Jobbsprånget 500+ arbetsgivare på 50 orter. Jobbsprånget är ett nationellt praktikprogram som skapar genvägar in i arbetslivet. Vi kan redan nu se positiva effekter av att fyra månaders praktik, på engelska, är rätt modell för att inkludera utrikes föda akademiker. I Jobbsprånget får majoriteten jobb efter avslutad praktikperiod, och 70 procent av vårens jobbsprångare är kvinnor. Ingenjörer, arkitekter, naturvetare och ekonomer – alla välkomnas utan krångliga system. Vi kan praktik och lyckas matcha arbetsgivares behov med nyanländas kompetens. Jobbsprånget drivs i samarbete med Arbetsförmedlingen och delfinansieras av Wallenbergsstiftelserna. Jobbsprånget har utformats så att det ska vara enkelt för arbetsgivare att medverka:
• Medverkan i Jobbsprånget är kostnadsfri och praktikanterna är försäkrade av Arbetsförmedlingen.
• Projektspråket är engelska.
• Jobbsprånget erbjuder kostnadsfria handledarworkshops
• Matchningen sker samlat i Jobbsprångets ansökningsportal där kandidaterna registrerar sina uppgifter och gör en ansökan. Arbetsgivare väljer sedan, via samma portal, själva ut vilka kandidater de vill erbjuda praktik.
• Jobbsprånget är behjälpliga i dialogen och framtagande av praktikavtal med Arbetsförmedlingen. Jobbsprånget Social Media Comment Policy

If you’d asked me on my first day, I never would’ve guessed I’d still be part of Mölnlycke Health Care a year later. But things happen for a reason, and I’m so glad they did.

From a Jobbsprånget intern to a summer worker, and now starting my new chapter as a Global Master Data Specialist this January - it’s been quite the evolution.

It’s been a challenging road, but the support here made it possible. I’m just soaking it all in and feeling incredibly blessed. Sometimes the best plans are the ones you didn’t make!

Jobbsprånget alumna Yolanda Mthembu shared the biggest challenge she faced during her internship journey.

“It’s more internal, it’s the heart,” she says.

After facing multiple job rejections, Yolanda struggled with discouragement and uncertainty. A feeling many of our participants know all too well.

🌟Alumni Highlights
Meet Rishi Senthil, Jobbsprånget alumnus who recently completed his internship for Dutt Consulting at their client Pomona Gruppen. After the internship, Rishi continues to work part time for the consulting company.

Check below for Rishi's answer when asked what was the most valuable thing from the internship:

"The most valuable part of my internship was leading a hands-on climate risk analysis for an FMCG bottle cap and closure company. Conducting the assessment gave me practical insight into how physical and transition climate risks can impact business processes, financial performance, and supply chains.

I also valued being involved in the sustainability reporting process from a foundational level which strengthened my understanding of structured, credible reporting. Additionally, using AI tools like Copilot to conduct benchmark assessments made the work both efficient and forward-looking, showing how technology can enhance sustainability advisory."
