New title: “Stekenjokk”

6 June 1982. The Wilderness Road opens for the season. Along the remote road cutting through the Jämtland mountain wilderness, five-metre-high walls of snow still tower on either side. When detective inspector Frank Eldståhl returns to his home, he finds a handwritten note and his wedding ring lying on the hallway table: his wife Evy has left him, taking their two children with her.

At that very moment, the telephone rings. While crews are clearing snow to make the Wilderness Road accessible, a woman’s hand is discovered trapped in one of the snow blowers. The shocking find marks the beginning of a complex and emotionally devastating murder investigation, forcing Frank to confront both the unspoken rules of the close-knit community and the wounds he carries within himself.

Who can he trust? And how will he be affected by the unsolved murder case he was confronted with as a young police officer ten years earlier?

“Stekenjokk” is the first book in a new series of atmospheric crime novels set along the legendary Wilderness Road in early 1980s Sweden, a country on the brink of major transformation.

New actor: Noel Flike

Noel Flike is a Swedish actor who first rose to prominence as an artist and member of the acclaimed Swedish pop-rap group Hov1. As one of the group’s founding members, he spent a decade performing for audiences across Sweden, developing a strong stage presence and a natural ability to connect with audiences. Hov1 became one of Sweden’s most successful contemporary music acts before announcing its farewell in 2025.

In 2026, Flike made his acting debut as the lead in the feature film “Flaggan,” directed by Michael Lindgren. In the film, Flike plays Ville, one of the two central characters in a chaotic comedy set on election night in 2010. Ville is a charming but irresponsible young man whose seemingly straightforward mission to hang a huge Swedish flag at Rinkeby Square quickly spirals into an unpredictable night of encounters with activists, criminals, and Finnish bikers.

Flike will next be seen in a feature film based on an acclaimed novel, set for release in 2027, with more news to be revealed soon.

Premiere date and first look images for Netflix’s adaptation of Stefan Ahnhem’s “A Couple of Lies”

Netflix has just announced the launch date for their adaptation of Stefan Ahnhem’s psychological thriller novel “A Couple of Lies”. The four-part series will premiere globally on October 30.

The main cast consists of Emma Appleton (“Traitors”), Fares Fares (“Chernobyl”), Frida Gustavsson (“Vikings: Valhalla”), and Jakob Oftebro (“Stenbeck”). Produced by Frida Asp and Fatima Varhos for Asp Varhos, the series is directed by Kasper Barfoed and adapted for screen by Amanda Högberg and Axel Stjärne.

In an effort to save their marriage, Helene (Frida Gustavsson) and Carl (Fares Fares) trade their home in Stockholm’s archipelago for a sun-drenched villa in Sicily, swapping lives for some weeks with Scarlett (Emma Appleton) and Adam (Jakob Oftebro), a couple they’ve never met. But as they settle into each other’s houses, unsettling details begin to surface. As secrets emerge and hidden betrayals come to light, what started as a picture‑perfect escape slowly warps into a twisted game of surveillance, manipulation and mistrust.
