It is with great sadness that we share the news that Jerry Rönnlund, our much-loved maintenance colleague at Stockholm International School, has passed away very unexpectedly.
Jerry joined SIS in 1993 and, over more than three decades, became a familiar and reassuring presence for generations of students. Many alumni will remember him for his kindness, his sense of humour, and the steady, friendly way he was simply always there.
Jerry’s passing is a profound loss to SIS. Jerry didn’t just work at SIS: he was part of its heart.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues at this difficult time.

Please help us find old yearbooks!
In anticipation of the school's 75th anniversary 2026/27, we will create a library of digital copies of old yearbooks that alumni and previous/current staff and families will be able to browse.

But we've got some gaps in our physical library and ask you to have a look in cupboards, attics, or basements for the missing copies.

We will return your copies to you after we've scanned them (unless, of course, you want to donate them to the physical library). Or you can send us a scanned PDF copy.

Anything before the 1970/71 academic year (perhaps no yearbooks were made before that?)

This week we were finally able to open our new facilities at Norra Latin, right in the centre of Stockholm! Norra Latin will house our students in Middle and Upper School, but will also be a meeting space for the whole community. Our Primary School students will continue to be at our wonderful school building on Johannesgatan. A new chapter in the history of the School has begun! 🥳

We're delighted to reveal the new addition to our campus site in the heart of Stockholm. Norra Latin will once again become a learning hub for young students. A building with a fascinating past is part of an exciting future for SIS. Learn more about it at www.stockholmis.se/NL

SIS is up for re-accreditation by CIS (Council of International Schools). A very important part of the re-accreditation process is gathering feedback from key stakeholder groups such as current parents/guardians, students, staff and of course our alumni! If you haven't completed the survey already and can spare some time to help us in this process we would be most grateful. Spirit Week came to SIS!

During this year's Spirit Week, we finally got to celebrate UN Day with a live parade again, yay!

The rest of the week brought us all much joy as we celebrated Crazy Hair Tuesday for the young ones and twin, triplets and quadruplets day for the older kids!

Decade Wednesday -we got to choose to dress up as any of the 7 decades that SIS has existed for- cheered us all up with different dress-ups from different decades!

On Thursday we had House colours dress up day and we ended the week with Halloween dress up! Thanks to our SPC- SIS Parent Community the whole school was transformed with amazing decorations!
