"The findings of this systematic review and meta-analysis provide empirical evidence that non-health-specific public policies can affect migrant health, supporting the importance not only of adopting a Health in All Policies paradigm, but ultimately embracing a human-rights framework that draws attention to the rights of migrants under international law... While improving the evidence base is an important part of improving migrants' health, political action is also ultimately required."

New study from SMASH researchers!

"The current study shows that young refugees have much higher risks of poor labour market outcomes compared to native Swedes... The risks of poor labour market outcomes among young refugees are in some instances comparable to those of intercountry adoptees, suggesting that barriers related to ethnic discrimination on the labour market may also be at play. Obtaining a secondary education is protective against poor labour market outcomes among all groups... This underscores the potential of education in increasing labour market participation among young refugees and thereby improving their socioeconomic integration in society."
