Fotografierna är tagna inom projektet av fotograf Per Askergren, och via Sök i Samlingarna fria att använda och licensierad med öppna Creative Commons-licenser.

Fotograferingen av ben-och hornföremålen från Statens historiska museums samlingar är en del i forskningsprojektet som även innefattar registreringar, analyser och datering av föremål i flera museisamlingarna i Sverige, Lettland och Estland läs mer https://utbildning.su.se/forskning/forskningskatalog/forskningsprojekt/4/retrieving-osseous-biographies). Projektet finansierat av Vetenskapsrådet, 2023-00755.

Inom projektet använder vi bilderna för illustrationer och katalogisering men även för att kunna studera föremålen utan att hantera dem fysiskt. Vi hoppas att de kommer bli uppskattade bland både forskare och allmänhet genom Historiska museets samlingssök.
