Neuroplasticity is the ability of the brain🧠to form new connections and pathways and change how its circuits are wired. Yes our brains🧠are plastic!!!! It means that we have an innate and inherited capacity to change. Like changing our experiences🏃💃🕺changes our brain.
Every human movement, thought or feeling is a precisely timed electric signal travelling through a circuit of nerve fibres. The more we fire a particular circuit, the more the circuit is optimised, and stronger, faster and more fluent our movements and thoughts become. Any change in these connections is what known as plasticity and are essential for learning.

In the current scenario, be it the war, pandemic, market crisis, job insecurities or the climate change, we cannot ignore the fact that it’s all taking a toll on our mental health, whether we admit it or not. For years, mental health has always been referred to as a “Disorder” or seen as a “Stigma” in the society, which may require professional support and treatment. But in reality mental health is much more than a diagnosis. It includes your overall psychological well-being, such as the way we feel about ourselves and others as well as our ability to manage our feelings, emotions and deal with everyday difficulties.
Here I have shared 9 steps that we can incorporate in our daily routine to improve and boost our mood, build resilience and add enjoyment in our day-to-day life.

Psychologist Carol Dweck (2006) first popularized the idea of mindsets by contrasting different beliefs about where our abilities come from.
It is our beliefs that make a difference in our lives—the beliefs that distinguish people who are successful at what they do versus those who continually struggle. A mindset is a belief that orients the way we handle situations—the way we sort out what is going on and what we should do. Our mindsets help us spot opportunities, but they can also trap us in self-defeating cycles.

In psychology, a sense of purpose is defined as meaningful goals developed and adapted over a lifetime. These long-term goals give us a reason to live when they are impactful enough to change the lives of others as well as ours. Our purpose is constantly evolving as we continue with the pursuit of our goals. It is also very important to identify our passion and visualize our life living it. All we need to do is connect them up with an action plan that will help us to make our dreams become a reality.

Just a reminder: Life is short and the best time to bring your ideas/dreams to life is NOW. I know that’s easier said than done but take a moment to think of a world where everybody lived up to their fullest potential. Incredible it would be, isn’t it? Challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone and attempt to bring that idea to life. Don’t wait for too long because the time will never be just right. I am not inviting you to be reckless rather to be daring.

Well there is a cost to pay and Yes you might fail but would you rather live with the regret of not trying or the regret of having tried and failed?

Perspective!!!!
It encourages us to look beyond ourselves, to see things from others point of view and recognize the importance or significance of something. As a lesson on life, perspective reminds us to keep our minds open and to look for alternatives. With enough perspective, we can better appreciate life and control how we feel and react to people, situation and circumstances. One person’s trash is another’s treasure. Any defeat is the chance to start over.
So how we CHOOSE to see the world is entirely up to US? Thorns or roses? empty or full? Exciting, frightening or challenging?

Have you ever wondered that everything in life starts with a thought? Our actions do follow the thoughts, whether good or bad. But they all begin in the mind regardless of its consequences. Once a thought is planted in our mind, uprooting it takes massive effort and energy.
Cultivating a healthy, positive mindset is the absolute key to a happy and productive life. We should start to train our minds to get the desirable actions because if we jump straight to actions without proper mental planning and groundwork, in the long run, we'd fall back into our old actions which are backed by our old mindsets.
