Seven Finnish-speaking professionals were chosen out of around 40 for five days of practising their Swedish and learning about the Åland Islands through different informative events, language lessons and ‘work shadowing placements’ – a concept in which you go to a work environment similar to your own and try work tasks to practice your Swedish learning in your own profession."

Nordenskolan Nordenskolan är en årlig facklig-politisk ledarutbildning om den nordiska modellen.

Today people and organisations all over the world are celebrating International Labour day and putting the spotlight on demands for equal rights, solidarity and democracy. 🌹In Sweden they mark the 100th anniversary on equal rights to vote.❗️

Today we tried something new! ABF Norden arranged a co-nordic online webinar on the subject "The global corporate giants and the nordic model" as a part on the course Nordenskolan. We had guest speakers and participants from four Nordic countries learning about the challenges of digitization. 💾 It proved to be a good way to overcome national borders during current travel restriction and shows that digitization not only poses new challenges but also provides new possibilites.

As it happens this was also the 108th birthday for the swedish ABF so we have two good reasons to celebrate today!🍎

The whole world is now turning It's eyes towards the US for election day 2020. AOF Denmark produces a podcast called "AOF informs" where they in five episodes adress the presidential election. Listen to it (in Danish) here!

Some of the questions adressed will be:
- "What weaknesses has Corona uncovered regarding the Nordic Model?"
- "How should the model be developed?"
