As we celebrate Midsummer and the start of summer, we would like to wish all of our children, families, and friends a wonderful holiday filled with sunshine, laughter, and special moments together.

While the majority of our children are already enjoying a well-deserved break, our team is busy preparing for the new academic year. We are currently refreshing learning spaces, organising materials, and getting everything ready to welcome both returning and new families in August.

We are already looking forward to another year of learning, exploration, and joyful experiences together. Until then, we wish you a fantastic Midsummer and a relaxing summer holiday!

🌿💚 We Are a Green Flag Certified Preschool for 2025/2026! 💚🌿

We are proud to announce that our Nursery has yet again been awarded the Green Flag certification for the 2025/2026 academic year in recognition of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental education.

At The English Nursery, sustainability is a natural part of everyday learning. Through hands-on experiences, outdoor exploration, recycling, nature projects, and meaningful discussions, we help children develop an understanding of how their actions can contribute to a more sustainable future.

Receiving the Green Flag certification reflects the dedication of our children and educators, who work together to care for the environment and make sustainable choices in our daily lives.

We are delighted to continue this important journey and inspire the next generation to become thoughtful, responsible, and environmentally conscious global citizens.

🎓☀️ Celebrating Our Nursery Graduates ☀️🎓

Yesterday afternoon, children, families, and teachers came together for a beautiful end-of-year celebration filled with joy, laughter, and a few happy tears.

The highlight of the afternoon was, of course, celebrating our oldest children as they prepare to take their next exciting step into school. We were so proud to honour our five-year-olds and reflect on the incredible growth, friendships, and memories they have made during their time at preschool.

Our potluck picnic brought everyone together, with families generously sharing delicious food and treats that added a special sense of community to the occasion. The children delighted us with songs and dancing, filling the afternoon with energy, excitement, and smiles.

Moments like these remind us that preschool is about so much more than learning, it is about building relationships, creating a sense of belonging, and celebrating each child's unique journey.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our families for your support, partnership, and contributions throughout the year. We wish our graduates every success as they begin school and all of our families a wonderful, relaxing summer holiday.

Year 6-7 English class students have completed an end of year presentation board about one of the books they read as a group this year. We are so proud of their work on these!

🏆✨ Celebrating Success Across the School! ✨🏆

This year, Tanto International School has achieved something truly remarkable: our students have taken home three competition wins across different year groups in the national competition "Världens bästa problemlösare" arranged by Framtidsfrön! 🎉

Our Year 4 students won Hitachi Energy’s competition with their innovative robot design, our Year 7 students won Embracer Group’s competition with their original board game concept, and our Year 8 students were recognised by KOMPAN for their creative and inclusive playground design.

While we are incredibly proud of these achievements, what makes us even prouder is the learning journey behind them. All three projects were completed as part of the students’ Swedish lessons, where they developed their language skills through authentic and purposeful learning. Students discussed ideas, negotiated solutions, wrote project descriptions, gave presentations, and communicated their thinking to others (all in Swedish).

At Tanto International School, we believe that education should prepare students not only for exams, but for life. Through projects like these, students develop the skills that future citizens need: creativity, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and the confidence to turn ideas into reality.

These three victories are a celebration of what can happen when language learning is connected to real-world challenges and when students are empowered to think big, work together, and shape the future.

After months of rehearsal, the Year 5-8 students have just put on a fantastic historical performance fill of facts, acting, dances and singing!

🏆🌿 We are incredibly proud to share some exciting news from The Tanto International School! 🌿🏆

Our Year 8 students’ project “Djungellekplatsen” has been selected as the winning entry in KOMPAN’s challenge “Världens bästa problemlösare” for students in årskurs 7–9.

The jury praised the students’ imaginative and innovative design, highlighting its creativity, accessibility, and focus on inclusive play. Their jungle-themed playground design included exciting features such as climbing activities, balancing challenges, trampolines, a zipline, and even a T-Rex slide, all while ensuring accessibility for wheelchair users.

What makes us especially proud is that the students demonstrated exactly what we value at Tanto International School: creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and designing with others in mind.

A huge congratulations to our Year 8 students and thank you to KOMPAN for recognising their hard work and creativity. We cannot wait to see where their ideas take them next! 💚
