📚✨ Stories Come to Life in the Moons!

This week, our youngest children in the Moons group (1–3 years) have been exploring Babblarna through shared reading and storytelling with familiar objects and characters.

By making stories visual, playful, and interactive, we create joyful opportunities for our youngest learners to develop language, communication, imagination, and a love of books from an early age.

Where are they now? Meet Alexandra!

Alexandra joined Tanto in Year 2 in 2009 and went on to graduate from Oxford University with a degree in History & German. She now works in London.

From Christmas pantos and Sports Day to the annual competitions🦄🏆, Alexandra has wonderful memories of her time at Tanto — and still keeps in touch with friends she made here.

We love hearing where our former students are now! Get in touch if you have a story to share with us💙

✨ Learning Together – Growing Together ✨

As we prepare for the new academic year, our staff have been busy using our two staff devlopment days for learning, reflecting, and developing our practice together.

Our teachers and after-school care staff have had opportunities to network in focus groups and continue working with Tom Bennett’s Running the Room material, exploring how we can create positive, consistent, and supportive learning environments for our students.

Meanwhile, our preschool educators have participated in workshops focusing on the importance of play and how we can observe, map, and intentionally support children’s language development throughout their preschool journey.

An especially valuable part of these days has been the opportunity to meet colleagues from our sister schools and preschools, exchange experiences, share ideas, and learn from one another.

Professional development is not only about gaining new knowledge, it is about reflecting together, challenging our thinking, and turning what we learn into meaningful experiences for the children and students in our care.

We are excited to bring all these ideas back into our classrooms and preschool environments as we begin the 2026/2027 academic year!
