“The meadow was a place of wildness and magic, and there was something about that wildness and magic that spoke to the princess in a very special way.”

Excerpt from the retelling of the story of Princess Tuvstarr by Stina Gray in her book 📖 Illustration by John Bauer (1913).

Yesterday we journeyed into the realm of Once Upon a Time with the young path-finder Tuvstarr to her beloved wildflower meadow and deep into the mossy woods of transformation.

This story journey is a part of our year-long course Vildkvinnans Årshjul (Wild Woman Wheel of the Year) that started in the autumn, where we explore stories and myths about the Wild Woman archetype and different phases of womanhood. It is so wonderful, nourishing and special to explore these fairytales and to share our own life stories from the heart in the warm connection of our women's circle. Together we are on a quest through the seasons to tune in to our own inner seasons and cycles, and come closer to our wild, authentic nature 🥰

The Firekeeper's Daughter by Karola Renard 🔥 A beautiful book of story wisdom and mythic food for the soul. One of the stories we tell in our women's circles, about a medicine woman called Isa, is inspired by one of the initiation tales in this book.

Nu landar vi efter en magisk helg med Vildkvinnans Årshjul 🥰 Som alltid är det svårt att sammanfatta med ord vad som händer på dessa helger! Vi har utforskat Själsångerskans symbolik med stöd av sagan om Isa och Björnmodern, en stor vintersaga som tog oss på en djup och kraftgivande resa 🐻✨️

Vilken underbar vildkvinnoflock! 😍 Vi är så tacksamma att få göra denna resa tillsammans genom årstiderna.

Och nu har vi bokat vår årliga novemberhelg! Den blir 20-22 november på Fridhems kursgård i Stjärnsund 🔥 Spara datumet. Mer info kommer.

❤️ Det finns bara ett ord egentligen för att beskriva den djupa tillåtande trygghet vi skapade och den läkning som skedde inom oss alla i vildkvinnocirkeln i helgen! Det ordet är TACKSAMHET.

❤️ Det som sker när vi ser varandra på djupet. När vi lyssnar och Vågar dela det vi bär på i våra kvinnokroppar, det är att läkningen tar stora språng. År av terapi kan komprimeras till en kraftfull katalysator. Och vi ser hur ansikten förändras när tårarna rinner. Hur ögon börjar lysa igen. Hur masker faller och den råa vackra vilda sanningen får leva!
Kraften kommer fram bakom alla sår. Och vad är vackrare än ren kraft och kärlek?

🐾 Nu får ni alla en dos av den i bildform 🐾
Vi behöver varandra för att läka och komma hem.
Ensam är inte stark! Tillsammans är grejen! Genom cirkelsång, magisk saga, skogens famn, samtalscirkel och dans och ceremoni är vi nu ännu mer fria och fulla av liiiiiiv!!

On our way into the woods at the beginning of a new journey with Wild Woman 🍂🍁✨️

A new Vildkvinnans Årshjul - Wild Woman Wheel of the Year - has started this past weekend at Fridhem Course Center in Stjärnsund, Sweden.

In a dedicated women's circle, we will explore through the seasons different faces of the Wild Woman archetype in story and myth, throughout the phases and cycles of womanhood, and in our own unique relationship and experience of her as she sings and speaks to each of us. We each have our own Wild Woman story, and it is so healing to make space for these stories to be told and listened to in the warm embrace of a women's circle 🔥

What a beautiful and magical start to our journey 🥰

För åttonde året i rad bjuder vi in till en helg för kvinnor i november på Fridhems kursgård i Stjärnsund, södra Dalarna. Denna vildkvinnohelg har blivit en tradition vi ser fram emot varje höst! 🍂✨️

Välkommen 7-9 november till en magisk resa in i sagornas rike och en djupt närande helg fylld av sång, trummor, dans, skogsbad och reflektion i en varm och hållen kvinnocirkel 🔥

Det är så välgörande att utforska läkande sagor och myter i kvinnocirkeln på senhösten när naturen bjuder in till att lyssna inåt och ge näring till det inre livet 🥰

At our women's circles and courses, we always have a story, a mythical guide, to gather around and explore in a way that sees the story as a mirror 🪞 A unique mirror for each and every one of us in the circle, that connects us with our own life stories and inner fairytale realms.

Our way of working with story and myth is about making space for our own personal experience of a story; open to the idea that there is treasure to be found here, precious gifts of insight and food for the soul. When we explore the forest in a fairytale, we are exploring our own inner forest. What you see and experience says something about you, your story, and your relationship with forests. What part of your inner forest is calling for your attention right now? 🌲🌿🌳

Even a story you think you know well might show you something completely new and unexpected, and awaken thoughts, questions and emotions you didn't realise were there within you, waiting for you to tune in and listen from a place of wonder and wildness ✨️

It is wonderful and deeply nourishing to explore stories in a women's circle, listening to each other and seeing a story from many different perspectives.

🍂🍁 This autumn, we have a new Wild Woman Wheel of the Year (Vildkvinnans Årshjul) starting 17-19 October, and we will also hold our annual autumn gathering 7-9 November, this time exploring the story of The Handless Maiden. These events are for Swedish speakers. However, we are also planning to hold an online workshop in English during the upcoming winter - stay tuned!
