Internationella Engelska Skolan Solna

Today was our final all staff working day at IES Solna, and it was filled with bittersweet goodbyes as we wished Ms. Gavin all the best as she begins an exciting new chapter at IES Kista.

IES Solna has been incredibly fortunate to have had Ms. Gavin as our principal for the past five years, from the very beginning of our school’s journey. She helped lay the foundations of our school, and her dedication, vision, and care can be seen throughout everything we do.

Beyond her leadership, Ms. Gavin brought an energy, joy, and sense of humour to work every single day. She was always ready with a smile, a laugh, and a moment of fun, helping to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and students. Her warmth and ability to bring people together are qualities that will be deeply missed.

While we are sad to say goodbye, we are also excited to see her flourish in her new role. We know that IES Kista will be very lucky to have her as part of their community.

Ms. Gavin will always hold a special place in the heart of IES Solna, and we wish her every success and happiness in this next chapter. ❤️

Last Thursday, our Year 9s officially graduated from IES Solna! 🎓✨

It was a beautiful evening filled with pride, laughter, and heartfelt moments as we celebrated the achievements of an incredible group of students.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to seeing all that you achieve in the future. 💙

Today was our final Pancake Breakfast of the school year! 🥞✨

🎸 IES Students Rock the Stage for Mental Health! 🎶

On April 21st, talented student bands from Internationella Engelska Skolan Bromma, Internationella Engelska Skolan Solna, and Internationella Engelska Skolan i Årsta came together at Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet for an unforgettable charity concert.

The evening was a beautiful celebration of music, resilience, and community, all in support of the JCK Foundation and its mission to promote mental wellness and destigmatize mental health challenges. By stepping into the spotlight, taking positive risks, and cheering each other on, our students put their mental well-being workshops into practice in the best way possible.

"It was one of the most exciting nights of my life – it was my first time performing for a big crowd, and it was really fun!" shared one student performer from IES Årsta.

We are proud of all the performers for their courage, talent, and heart. When students are given a safe, supportive environment, they truly can achieve incredible things! 💙
