🧸💙 Stitch’s Weekend Adventures!

We’ve started a new class tradition! Each weekend, Stitch goes home with a different child to join in with their everyday adventures.

Tymon was our first adventurer and took Stitch bike riding, shopping, to the barber, to meet his family and even to watch Sonic the Hedgehog! 🚲🛍️💈🎬

The children then recount their weekend, write about their experiences and present their adventures to the class on Monday. It’s a fun way to develop their English skills through sequencing, descriptive writing, recounting events and speaking & listening — while giving everyone a chance to share a little piece of their life with the class. 🌟

We can’t wait to see where Stitch goes next! 🧸🌍

📚✨ History Presentations!

Our KS3/4 students did an amazing job with their History presentations! They were so confident, well prepared and clearly proud to share their research. 👏

Students explored what life was like in the 1900s, before WWI, in their home countries, looking at the historical events, people and changes that shaped their countries during this fascinating period.

It was fantastic to see our International students bringing their own countries and perspectives into the classroom and learning from one another. 🌍💙

What a brilliant job! Well done, everyone! 👏

This week, we loved our STEAM lesson (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics)🔬💡🎨📐

Working together, we collaborated, designed and planned our very own robots! 🤖

There were lots of ideas, creativity, problem-solving and teamwork happening in the classroom and we can’t wait to see our designs come to life! 🚀

During our English learning, KS2 students have been reflecting on what qualities a Super Student Hero should have, not just for themselves, but to help others and make our school an even better place! 🌟
Together, they discussed and shared their ideas, explored powerful adjectives, and thought about characteristics such as kindness, helpfulness, respect, courage, responsibility, and teamwork. 💬📚

📚✨ What a fantastic week of learning! ✨📚

Our KS2 superstars have been shining this week! 🌟 In Math, we’ve been working hard on our times tables and building our fluency and confidence. In Guided Reading, we’ve dived into our exciting new texts and enjoyed developing our reading skills.

And, of course, we made a trip to the library to stock up on some brilliant new books to enjoy at home!

So much learning, reading and growing this week - well done, KS2! 💫👏 Don’t forget your homework! 📚
