On Friday November 11 at Casa de la cultura, Marcala, La Paz, Honduras, with special guest artist, Jesús Ottoniel Hernández.

What a cozy, friendly and significant event with the mission to create zero trash, to recover, reuse and redesign! Completely free of single use!

Creative upcycling workshops and market, healthy organic food and drink, café al metodo, music, drama, art, design and craft, trash academy, swap shop and good discussions.

Excellent work students and teachers!

"Ska vi fika? It's about coffee and the different ways we can look at it."

Welcome to current exhibition at KAFFEMACKEN TANKAR :: CoffeeArt by Mareike Alexander!

"The exhibition takes a journey from the moment we decide for coffee until the cup is empty. The coincidence of a spilled coffee creates abstract and figurative pieces of art. The intention is to look for the unexpected images and moments, which are always there but have to be found. Time is needed to find it: SlowArt in a way. Coffee- instead of cloudwatching and the chance to escape from daily thoughts for a moment. My work is about the concept of coffee, the idea behind and the search for the little and unpredictable things in everyday life."

2021 we are ready 💪

2020 is the year we opened Kaffemacken 🤩 It has also been a hard and telling year in many ways. But before the world shut down we were fortunate to spend time with our "family" in , to cup coffee, organize the third ReThink Festival in Marcala and work with teachers and children ❤️🇭🇳
Today we want to celebrate our fantastic friendship and partnership with Comsa International School, Peñalva Special Coffee and Café Orgánico Marcala - COMSA with this lush coffee bush from Finca Azul Esmeralda where Douglas Dasaeb Peñalva and Gerardo Javier Peñalba Ulloa grow the spectacular coffee we have at Kaffemacken. Kaffemacken is on holiday break but we are not 😊
Yesterday we participated in English class with our ReThink teamster Martín Tin Enoc Arguijo 🇭🇳
We had a great time with the lovely students 🌱🙌🧡

Martin's project "No Child Left Behind" helps children in remote rural areas by providing English lessons they would otherwise not have gotten.

It was a blast! We had so much fun sharing coffee and artivism with lovely people at our KAFFEMACKEN TANKAR pop-up during Gallerinatten, Malmö last Saturday. Very exciting that so many were enthusiastic and interested in what we do. We can't wait to open our permanent space here at Mitt Möllan later this year!

Brilliant kids! What an amazing turnout and such cool, creative upcycling! We are thrilled and super proud of this dynamic collaboration, sharing the ReThink project with you.

Great job everyone! Yesterday you really showed how we can rethink and change our lifes positively and protect nature at the same time. While having fun!

Thank you Martín González for coordinating and documenting this amazing event! Big thanks to the ReThink Arenales team and gracias Oscar Omar Alonzo for hosting it all on your wonderful farm! It was amazing to visit you virtually on link!

This successful pilot event will be followed by many more. To educate and inspire children and empower their communities by sharing skills and facts. Step by step... !
