WOVEN LIGHT
Velux Daylight Student Competition

We would like to congratulate our MARK student, Simon Mlcek and his team members Thomas Chudoba and Vlad Badiu, on being selected as regional winners of the International Daylight Student Competition. ✨

Their project was recognized for its innovative use of daylight, depth of research, clarity of architectural thinking and overall presentation.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

Our Sustainable Urban Design (SUDes) Master's students wil present their degree projects this week! 🤞🏻

The projects address some of the most pressing challenges facing cities today — from climate resilience and adaptive waterfronts to inclusive public spaces and regenerative urban transformation.

The presentations are public and will take place at Lund University’s School of Architecture (A-huset) from 19–21 May. Join us! ✨

Join us as we celebrate the end of the Academic Year 2025–2026!

The evening will feature a lecture by Marge Arkitekter on the Kasper Salin Prize 2025-winning project Kv. Jungfrun in Norrköping.
During the event, we will also announce the recipients of:
The Scholarship in Memory of Sara Birnbaum
The Lars “Jim” Asklund Scholarship
The Pedagogical Awards by SRA

We are also happy to present an exclusive exhibition featuring sketches and photographs from the travels of previous Lars “Jim” Asklund Scholarship recipients.

And of course there will be drinks, snacks and a relaxed summer evening atmosphere throughout the event.
