👏 Congratulations MACA20! 👏

This weekend is the Lundakarneval (carnival), which takes place every fourth year. Aytan of MACA18, who comes from Azerbajdzjan and now works as a UX researcher in Lithuania, travelled to Lund to participate. It's great to meet with former students for a fika and catch up on what they're doing after graduation!

Here is Elsa of MACA20 lecturing for the students in Archival Studies. She did her work placement at Malmö City Archives, with a project on Afro-Swedes and (in-)visibility in the archives. Since the archival students’ current course concerns accessibility and communication, inclusion and representation, it was excellent to have Elsa’s expertise

For three days we've been reading and discussing theses manuscripts. It's been long days but very good and productive seminars with MACA20. Well done everybody!

The cathedral in the city centre, dating back to 1145, is one of the iconic buildings in Lund. At the moment it looks a bit different than it usually does. The roofs of the two towers are being renovated.

Despite these troubled times with wars and pandemic spring is on its way. The sun shines and there are lots and lots of flowers around the university library.

On Monday 15.00 the outdoor warning system, known as "Hesa Fredrik", is to be tested. In view of the current situation, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) emphasises that this is a test. Read more at the MSB web site.

Hesa Fredrik to be tested Monday Four times per year, on the first non-holiday Monday, the functioning of the Viktigt meddelande till allmänheten (VMA) signal is checked via the outdoor warning system known as Hesa Fredrik. On Monday 7 March, the test will be carried out as scheduled at 15:00.
