🌼 "Sommar i P1" is one of Sweden's most iconic radio programmes that has been a familiar voice of summer since 1959.
Each host is given complete creative freedom to shape a 90‑minute episode, sharing their own story and choosing the music that matters to them. Being invited to host "Sommar i P1" is often seen as one of the greatest honours in Swedish pop culture.
This summer, several of the hosts are Lund University alumni:
Ginna Lindberg – 28 June
Maria Maunsbach – 2 July
Ann Heberlein – 3 July
Carl Skau – 10 July
Martin Modéus – 12 July
Anders Rosengren – 17 July
Joel Kinnaman – 25 July
David Wiberg – 3 August
Ewa Fröling – 11 August
Make sure you listen on Swedish Radio P1 or via the Swedish Radio app 🎧✨

Last Friday, Lund University celebrated one of its most important academic traditions – the doctoral conferment ceremony 🌿🎩✨
This photo was taken during the pre-ceremony mingle, just before the procession to the Cathedral. It features three of the Faculty of Science’s jubilee doctors: Erik Nyholm, Christian Otto and Petter Minnhagen. Jubilee doctors are those who were originally conferred 50 years ago and are honoured again at the ceremony.
What makes this moment extra special is that Erik Nyholm is holding a photograph from their original conferment exactly fifty years ago – showing the same trio together then, as now 💚

Yesterday, we teamed up with AI Lund to discuss AI & Democracy – how AI is shaping democracy and what it means for the future. Lund University experts Anamaria Dutceac Segesten, Olof Sundin and Annika Fredén, together with moderator Stefan Larsson, explored how algorithms, AI-generated information, disinformation and automated political messaging are influencing democratic processes.
