"I will be at CIRCLE during year 2020 as a visiting researcher and my goal during this period is to deepen the theoretical knowledge in innovation systems and innovation policies, with emphasis on the combination of policy instruments to support innovation."
Background: PhD Candidate in Economics at UFF (University in Brazil), with a master's degree in economics. His research interest is in evaluating innovation policy and financial instruments to support innovation. Since 2008, he is an employee of Finep (Brazilian Innovation Agency), he was a policy maker, coordinating the Inova Health Program, an action of the Industrial Policy - Inova Empresa. He was manager of the Health Department and Superintendent of Finep, having participated in the main forums for innovation and health policy in Brazil.

🙋♂️ Another great Post Doc that has joined Circle is Mart Laatsit. We are happy to have him onboard and here is his presentation: “I am an innovation scholar at Lund University and a lecturer at Copenhagen Business School. My work focuses on innovation studies, more specifically on innovation policy and policy learning through networks and other channels. Previously I was the Head of Innovation Policy at the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Estonia and managed the EU task-force on innovation procurement. I hold a PhD degree in Innovation Policy from the Copenhagen Business School and a MA degree in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. In 2017 I was a visiting scholar at MIT Sloan School of Management, experimenting on the use of network analytics for improving public policy.” Wonderful news!

We are very happy to have her and this is what she is up to: "My research interests intersect transformative innovation, feminist technoscience and critical design. The purpose of my postdoctoral research is to advance our understanding of how norm critical innovation may support transformative innovation policy when generating new frameworks, standards and narratives that address the societal challenges outlined in the UN:s Sustainable Development Goals. I will initially be assessing norm critical innovation practices in Sweden, within the Vinnova programme Gender and Diversity for Innovation."
