NEWS! Camera Image Quality Assessment

This new 2-day course is focusing on modelling and characterization of Imaging Systems as well as Image Quality Assessment and benchmarking using both objective measurements and subjective methods.
Image scientists, photographers, engineers, or managers who want to learn more about Image Quality and how to evaluate still or video cameras for different applications are most welcomed to take this course.

NEW COURSE! Hands-on Software Defined Radio Concepts

Modern Radio Systems now rely on digital processing for more and more functions in both the transmitter and the receiver. This technolgy enbles wireless interconnectivity for a diverse range of produces and services from satellite communications, to mobile phones and the Internet of Things. This short course uses hardware and software supplied on the day to illustrate the key concepts, and convert theory to practice. During the course students complete a QPSK radio link; digits to RF and back to illustrate core concepts of SDR.

New course in Silicon-on-Insulator Technologies from Microelectronics to MEMS

In this series of lectures, we will demonstrate the advantages of SOI technology for RF CMOS integration as well as for building thin film sensors on thin dielectric membrane and 3D Micro-Electro-Mechanical (MEMS) sensors and actuators co-integrated with their associated SOI CMOS circuitry. SOI is for sure today one of the most promising technologies for meeting the requirements of More than Moore roadmap.

New course: "Artificial Intelligence in Wireless Networks"

The course covers a review of AI based learning algorithms with a number of case studies supported by Python and R programs. It provides a discussion of the learning algorithms used in decision making based on game theory and a number of specific applications in wireless networks such as channel, network state and traffic prediction.
