So proud of our Spanish 6 students 🎉
After finishing the chapters ‘La familia’ and ‘En mi tiempo libre’, where the students have been learning how to describe a third person — how they look, their age, where they live, the languages they speak, what they like to do, and even whether they are famous.
To bring all this knowledge to life, we played a speaking game where each student had a mystery person on their forehead. By asking questions in Spanish and working together as a group, they had to guess who they were. The energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm in the room were amazing!
Learning was so much fun that no one wanted to leave when the lesson ended — a true sign of engagement and curiosity. ¡Muy bien, clase! 👏✨

Yesterday we kicked off Easter break with a fun and educational day! 🐣
The children practiced their baking skills by making vanilla Easter cupcakes, exploring measuring, mixing, and following instructions. We also got creative by designing our own Easter bunny hats.
To keep the day active and exciting, we had an egg hunt and a spoon race, encouraging teamwork, coordination, and lots of laughter.
A lovely start to the Easter holidays!

Our Year 2 classrooms have transformed into a hub for space exploration!
The students have been working in collaborative groups, with each team becoming "experts" on a specific planet. From the rings of Saturn to the red deserts of Mars, our young astronomers have been researching and preparing their findings to share with the rest of the class. 🪐
At IES Landskrona, we prioritize an informed and globally oriented curriculum. This project allows our students to thrive in a supportive environment where they develop essential skills in public speaking, teamwork, and scientific inquiry. 🔭
Watching our students present their hard work with such confidence and clarity is a testament to the rigorous standards we uphold in every subject. 🌟
The future of space exploration looks bright at IES! 🌌

Visualizing Fractions in Year 2 📐
Mathematics is best learned when it is hands-on!
Our Year 2 students have been diving into the world of fractions by exploring how to divide shapes into equal parts. Working in pairs, they challenged themselves to divide a square piece of paper into four equal parts in two completely different ways. 🤝
At IES Landskrona, we prioritize clarity and informed instruction. By starting with physical exploration, our students build a solid foundation for more complex mathematical concepts. Seeing them collaborate and thrive in such a supportive and structured environment is truly rewarding. 🌟
Upholding rigorous standards in numeracy, one square at a time!

From Newcomer to Avid Reader 📖 Two years ago, a student joined our school community speaking neither Swedish nor English. Today, she has achieved something truly remarkable.
She has just finished her first 250 page novel in Swedish, reading it entirely on her own. To celebrate this milestone, the author Ebba Hyltmark sent her a personal copy with a special dedication written inside. ✍️
We strive to provide the structured and supportive environment where students thrive, regardless of their starting point. This achievement reflects the rigorous standards of language development and the incredible grit our students show every day. 🌍
She is now busy writing a letter to Ebba to express her gratitude. We are so incredibly proud of her hard work! 🌟

Reflecting on an action packed week where our students truly embraced the Olympic spirit!
Our Fritids transformed into an arena of knowledge and movement. Students participated in a dynamic quiz walk, exploring the history, sports, and participating nations of the Winter Games. Every correct answer earned vital House Points, proving that academic curiosity and school spirit go hand in hand. 🏆
The excitement didn't stop there! We practiced focus and precision through target shooting and tested our endurance with timed sledding on a custom built snow track. 🛷
At IES Landskrona, we prioritize a supportive environment where cooperation and the joy of movement are at the forefront. It was a week filled with community and active learning, exactly the way we uphold our standards at Fritids. 🌟

Throwback to an exciting day at Fritids!
While the Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina 2026 brought the world's best athletes together, our students had their own "front row seats" right here at school. Watching the hockey matches was more than just cheering for a win; it was a perfect opportunity to discuss the values that make a great athlete: fair play, teamwork, and resilience.
At IES Landskrona, we encourage our students to thrive in a safe and supportive environment where they can learn through shared experiences. Whether on the ice or in the classroom, supporting one another is how we uphold our rigorous standards of community. 🤝
The energy was electric, and the lessons in sportsmanship will last long after the final whistle! 🏒

Our Year 9 scientists are taking a "hands-on" approach to understanding the cosmos!
By simulating asteroid impacts in the lab, students are investigating the relationship between drop height and crater size. This experiment is a vital part of their current unit on the universe, allowing them to apply mathematical analysis to physical phenomena. 🔭
Using the formula for potential energy, our students calculate how energy transforms into impact force. It is wonderful to see them thrive in a structured and calm learning environment where complex theories become tangible. 🧪
Upholding rigorous standards in our science labs every day! 🌟

February was a month of discovery for our Year 2 students at Fritids!
As part of our focus on different cultures and countries, our students have been diving deep into the history and traditions of the Sami. Learning about Sweden's indigenous people is a cornerstone of our commitment to a globally recognized education. 🌍
The project reached its peak on February 6th as we celebrated the Sami National Day together. It is wonderful to see our students thrive in an inclusive and informed environment where they learn to respect and value diverse heritage. 🧣
Honoring the vibrant culture of Sápmi! ✨

Our Year 2 students recently received a special visit from a parent working at Tullverket! 🚔
The children were fascinated to learn about the essential tools used by Customs officers to keep our borders safe. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the chance to sit inside a real Customs car! 🌟
At IES Landskrona, we value these community connections that bring a global perspective into our classrooms. It was a wonderful way for our students to explore different career paths within a supportive and informed environment. 🤝
A huge thank you to our guest for inspiring the next generation!
