It's another strong start to Day 2 of IFSC Cambodia with SM Yap Boh Chu's presentation on 'The Origins and Effect of Yin Feng Shui'!
In Feng Shui, we always speak about Yin and Yang. The normal understanding is that these are applied in the feng shui of home and offices.
However, feng shui itself is divided into both Yin Feng Shui and Yang Feng Shui, where Yin Feng Shui is for the deceased and Yang Feng Shui is for the living.
Why would we practise Yin Feng Shui?
A passage from the 葬書 (Zhangshui) may give us a hint: "鬼福及人 (Guǐ fú jí rén) The Ghost will give blessing to the people". This means that feng shui for the deceased can bring good effects (blessings) to the living.
However, the converse is also true, if Yin Feng Shui is done improperly, it can kill the descendants of the deceased, and in some circumstances, even the feng shui master will die.
Yin Feng Shui is not for the faint hearted!
