Behind every calm moment in the classroom lies a continuous, proactive effort. Our Learning Environment Team (LET) works daily to build the trust and boundary-setting that allow students to step outside their comfort zone and grow in character.

By coaching on personal behavior goals, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a constant positive presence, LET helps our F–9 students take ownership of their own journey. It’s a key piece of our ethos, combining structure with genuine care and tough love 💙

Hur lär man sig bäst hur ett val går till? Genom att göra det på riktigt!

Igår och idag har våra Y7-9 students deltagit i skolvalet, där teori har förvandlats till praktisk kunskap om elevdemokrati, rösträtt och hur beslut fattas i samhället. Ms Hjort och vår elevrådsordförande Hanna samlar in allas röster 🗳️🗣️

Genom vårt arbete med Character Counts utvecklas våra elever även i att växa som ansvarsfulla, engagerade och respektfulla samhällsmedlemmar, bland annat genom pelaren Citizenship.

GRIT, laganda och ren kämparglöd! 🔥💪🏼💫

Igår begav sig två lag med laddade elever från Year 4–6 och Year 7–9 till Linköping för att delta i årets 🏆

Efter uttagningar på skolan fick eleverna i april först åka till i Lidköping för ett coachningspass med Maja Wellner, guld- och bronsmedaljör från World Championship 2025 (även dagens vinnare) 👏🏽🥇 Maja coachade dem i både teknik, styrka och mentala förberedelser!

Igår använde eleverna alla sina kunskaper och stöttade varandra genom varje hinder och utmaning. De visade prov på precis den karaktär och det Growth Mindset vi pratar om i klassrummen varje dag – att våga anta utmaningar, lyfta varandra och aldrig ge upp. Vilken boost för självförtroendet!

Behind those incredible minutes on stage lie weeks of hard work, late afternoons, and pure determination. Stepping out in front of a live audience, conquering stage fright, and owning the moment takes immense courage. At IES, we frequently talk about a growth mindset and grit – today, our students demonstrated those exact qualities on stage. By embracing challenges and stepping outside their comfort zones, they aren't just performing; they are building lifelong self-esteem 💪🏼💫
