What a week it has been at Accesia Academy.

Four intensive days of surgery, hands-on training, discussions and shared experience are coming to an end.

It has been a pleasure to welcome such an experienced and engaged group of veterinarians from nine countries to Halmstad. The discussions, questions and exchange of experience between participants have been just as much a part of this Masterclass as the extensive practical training.

A sincere thank you to Dr. Boaz Arzi and Dr. Stephanie Goldschmidt for once again sharing their exceptional knowledge and experience so generously. We would also like to thank Rita Leibinger Medical, ACTEON GROUP and Arthrex for supporting the practical training with products, equipment and expertise.

And of course, a big thank you to all our participants for bringing your curiosity, experience and enthusiasm to Accesia Academy. It has been a privilege to have you here, and we hope to see you again!

Three days into our Advanced OMFS Masterclass, the focus is moving from maxillofacial trauma and fracture repair to surgical oncology.

During the first two days, participants worked extensively with internal fixation techniques for mandibular and maxillofacial fractures, including challenging defect non-unions and different surgical approaches to the maxillofacial region.

Today, Dr. Boaz Arzi and Dr. Stephanie Goldschmidt are taking the group further into surgical oncology, with advanced surgical planning, lymph node management, soft tissue reconstruction and extensive maxillectomy procedures.

For today’s hands-on sessions, we are also pleased to have ACTEON GROUP with us at Accesia Academy, giving participants the opportunity to work with the Piezotome Cube as part of the practical training.

Our OMFS Masterclass is back at Accesia Academy.

This week, we are once again welcoming Dr. Boaz Arzi and Dr. Stephanie Goldschmidt from UC Davis to Halmstad for Advanced OMFS Techniques for Trauma and Surgical Oncology – four days dedicated to oral and maxillofacial surgery at the highest level.

A group of 14 participants, including Diplomates and experienced veterinarians from nine countries across Europe, Asia and North America, have come together to develop their surgical skills through high-level discussions and extensive hands-on training.

For the first two days, the practical sessions are supported by Rita Leibinger Medical, providing products and equipment for the hands-on training, with Nelson Büschle on site to support the participants.

We are happy to welcome Pierre March to Accesia as our new Sales Representative.

Pierre is based in Gothenburg and brings many years of experience from the dental industry, where he has worked with both sales and technical service. Much of his background is within human dentistry, but he also has experience of veterinary dentistry and a strong understanding of the equipment and technical solutions needed to create an efficient clinical workflow.

Having been involved in building and equipping dental clinics, Pierre is used to looking at the bigger picture, from the clinical environment and equipment to the everyday needs of the people working there.

For Pierre, good sales are about listening first.

“I’m a relationship-based salesperson. The most rewarding part is finding a solution that the customer genuinely needs and that can make their work easier and more efficient.”

At Accesia, Pierre will primarily work with sales and customer support across the Nordic region, combining his technical expertise with a strong focus on availability and long-term customer relationships.

Outside work, Pierre spends much of his time with his large family and in the garden. He also has a particular passion for Halloween and likes to go all in. Each year, the family creates a new theme with homemade decorations, moving figures, lights, smoke and costumes. Last year, around 240 children came to their house for trick-or-treating.

The latest issue of VeterinärMagazinet focuses on veterinary dentistry, with several articles highlighting important perspectives on modern dental care for animals.

This week, Dr. Margherita Gracis and Dr. Ana Nemec are back at Accesia Academy.

Together, they are lecturing Dentistry II, with participants joining us in Halmstad from eight countries across Europe.

Thank you, European Veterinary Dental Forum EVDF 2026 in Porto.

It has been a pleasure to demonstrate the Vetnio integration in ProDenta Cloud. The speech-to-text functionality was very well received, and many visitors were impressed by how accurately spoken notes were captured, structured and placed into the right fields in the dental record.

We are also grateful for all the interest shown in Accesia Academy and the many discussions about training pathways and continued education in veterinary dentistry.

Thank you also to the lecturers and participants in the wet labs we sponsored for valuable hands-on learning and exchange.

We are grateful to everyone who visited us in Porto, and to EVDF for another inspiring forum. We look forward to meeting you all again next year in Edinburgh.
