Vad visste de som ristade i hällarna?
Under bronsåldern ristade människor i Skandinavien tusentals bilder i berghällar – båtar, människor och symboler som fortfarande väcker frågor. Vad visste egentligen de som skapade dem? Hur gick arbetet till? Och vilken roll hade dessa personer i samhället?
Tisdag 24 mars kl. 19.00 får vi höra Christian Horn, professor i arkeologi vid Göteborgs universitet, berätta om ny forskning där 3D-teknik, datavetenskap och geologi ger nya ledtrådar till hällristarnas kunskap och betydelse.

Adoranten is an established international journal for rock art research with over 50 years of publication history. In 2025, the journal transferred from the Scandinavian Society for Prehistoric Art to SHFA. We’ve just launched a new website and submission system through KB’s Publicera platform.

The call for papers and posters at CAA 2026 (Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology) is now open.
