Mistra Urban Futures

Mistra Urban Futures is an international research and knowledge Centre for sustainable urban development. We believe that the co-production of knowledge is a winning concept for achieving sustainable urban futures and creating fair, green and accessible cities.

The Centre is hosted by Chalmers University of Technology and operates in in Cape Town, Gothenburg, Kisumu, Sheffield-Manchester, Skåne and Stockholm.

Mistra Urban Futures is financed by Mistra the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research and Sida, together with a consortium comprising of Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg, the City of Gothenburg, the Gothenburg Region Association of Local Authorities (GR), IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland, and the Region of Västra Götaland, along with local funders.
