TRAVEL FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
TRAVEL FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FROM GU
“Dear exchange students and international master students at the University of Gothenburg,
At our university, we constantly strive to make internationalization and mobility more sustainable. During the spring semester 2019, there is a sustainability project which may be interesting for you who travel to and from Gothenburg by other means of transport than flying.
The project, administered by a group of students, is called “Sustainable Exchange Travelling“ and is financed by the internal Climate Fund at the University of Gothenburg. The aim is to support international students and outgoing exchange students who travel to and from Gothenburg without flying. If you choose to travel by train, bus and/or ferry, the project can provide a 50% refund of the ticket costs (with a max. refund of 2000 SEK per way). The current project is limited to the spring semester 2019 and can cover either one way or both ways (i.e. the journey here and back). If you choose to go home at the end of the semester by train, ferry and/or bus, it is also possible to still sign up and get the refund for just that way.
