International music camp organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra for children and youth ages 7–23 Our goal is to create the world’s largest music youth camp.

Side by Side by El Sistema is a global music youth camp where young people meet to play with a symphony orchestra, participate in choral singing, create and develop. With music as hub for creativity and passion we build bridges across people, culture and continents. As participant in the global music youth camp Side by Side by El Sistema you will meet established musicians who lead workshops and r

🎵 Thank you for an amazing music camp! Side by Side 2026 brought together over 2000 participants from a record 26 countries and around 50 Swedish locations.

And we had a record audience of about 3700 at Scandinavium for the historic Ode Triomphale performance as well. Incredible!

Whether you were at camp or followed from afar, we’re so grateful you shared this experience with us!

VIDEO RECAP: Festival Tuesday ended on a high note with Wind & String in Concert.

Three conductors at this concert—Marjolein Vermeeren (wind), Johannes Bergion (string), and Ron Davis Alvarez (full symphony orchestra). What a ride!

Johannes Bergil and Sofia Högstadius also came by to lead the participants in a couple of folk tunes that they workshopped during camp. So much fun!
