After months of work, long nights, and endless days of paper jams, the second year bachelor students of photography at HDK-Valand invites you to their nineteen-in-one book-release! One night only at Göteborgs Litteraturhus!

Come and flip through countless books exploring the boundaries of photography in the physical medium. Each student exploring a different way to approach, broaden, and challenge the idea of what photography can be. Through materiality, sequencing, experimentation, and personal narrative.

The collection invites visitors to engage with photography not just as image-making, but as an object, an experience, and a form of critical expression.

Open 3rd of June 16:00-20:00
Adress: Heurlins Plats 1, 413 30 Göteborg

Hejsan!
mvh Hilda Westh

text:

Welcome to UNDERSIDA — a solo exhibition by Hilda Westh.
Through textile sculptures and dreamlike objects, I explore how dreams can take physical form. The works are based on fragments from my own dreams: flying pigs, strange creatures, and worlds where the rules of reality no longer apply.
In my practice, I am not trying to understand the meaning of dreams, but rather to use them as material. By giving these inner images a body, something moves from the subconscious into the physical world.

Welcome to the solo exhibition I Love Seeing You Win by Isa Mårtensson Liljegren

I cheer for your victory and today I share your victory.

Watching people win prizes, races, or the lottery has always been a source of joy for me. What you see is a growing archive of winners, victory speeches, and video clips of winning moments.

Through collecting this material, I question what a win is. Material or immaterial. Is it the price received at the top of a podium? Or the price of waking up in the morning?

And further inquiring, who gets to be a winner? Can the podium fit all of us?

Vernissage Friday 1/5 16-20
Saturday and Sunday open from 12-16

The barnacle method can be understood as a way of forming new spaces by attuning to the surrounding currents — allowing form to emerge through relation, and letting time settle into the structure itself. My practice is shaped through correspondence with a place, where its movements and flows become archived in the work’s materials and forms. Yet, like the barnacle, I also reach toward what is held inside — toward what remains enclosed.

The idea that a face could summarize a person is as alluring as it is misleading. In this exhibition, Josefin Johansson Hedman leaves conventional depiction behind to instead explore the self-portrait as a montage of references.

Here, the self is presented as a play of identity rather than a gaze. By letting mythological symbols replace personal narratives and material fragments act as physical traces, the portrait shifts from surface to substance.
