On the last day of March, 110 international students and internationally recruited staff traveled to space and back. 🚀🪐

They visited Mars, the Milky Way, and the Big Bang – and made it safely home to Earth afterwards. Thanks to Universeum’s Wisdome and the 360-degree projection screen, we got to experience the universe without even moving. 🌌

The 2026 World University Cheerleading Championships are coming to Gothenburg – and we want you to be a part of it!
4-7th of June 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

To make all this possible, we are building a dedicated and diverse volunteer team that together will create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Why become a volunteer?
As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the success of the Championships while gaining valuable experience in sports event management, leadership, and international collaboration. You’ll meet new people, build professional connections, and contribute to a global event that celebrates the power of university sport.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds – university students, recent graduates, and members of the local community.

What we are looking for:
• +18 years old.
• Passionate about sports, teamwork, events or event organization.
• Communicative, friendly, and proactive.
• Eager to learn and contribute in a dynamic, international environment.
• Ability to speak English. Other languages are considered as a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience in volunteering, cheerleading or university sports is a plus, but not required.

In this year’s Global Destination Sustainability Index (GDS-Index), Gothenburg remains at the second place. The GDS-Index measures sustainability across all dimensions – environmental, social, and economic – and ranks around 100 destinations across the globe.

🎡Liseberg. What would a summer be without visiting one of the most popular amusement parks in Europe? If you're not a thrillseeker, you can still eat good food, enjoy the magical atmosphere, and play games.

🎤 Way Out West. This festival in Slottsskogen remains popular year after year, and it's no wonder why. During August 7-9, many international and local acts will play, with this year's edition welcoming Charli XCX and Chappell Roan.

🎉Gothenburg Culture Festival. A free, citywide festival with a diverse programme on the 28-30th of August. Prepare to eat your way around the world, listen to good music, and participate in one of many workshops.

Communications event with International House Gothenburg ✨

On Thursday May 22, we welcomed international students and professionals to participate in an afternoon filled with trend spotting, career insights, networking and much more, at Studenternas Hus. 🙌

💬 The event was organised with the aim of offering participants a unique opportunity to learn more about the industry and expand their professional networks.
