👶💬 Crying is useful! They demand so much of baby's energy, they don't just happen.

🤔 So what's the point of crying?

👣 When a baby falls and cries, for example, crying releases the pain and fear felt during the fall.

💔 If a child feels abandoned and cries, then crying allows him to release the pain of this feeling, enabling him to access a path of resilience.

🛑 When we stop the crying, we don't stop the pain, but rather the communication of that pain and its liberation.

🤗 Welcome and accompany your baby's cries. Hug them, cuddle them and let them go. You'll not only be helping them through the situation, you'll also be reassuring them that you're there for them, even when they're crying.

In our exploration, we'll uncover the recommended wakeful times for babies, as well as what happens during their wakeful periods, including care routines (diaper changes, baths...), feeding (breastfeeding, bottle feeding), and moments of interaction.

It's important to remember that while these guidelines offer valuable insights, every baby is unique. However, adhering to these recommendations can help prevent the overproduction of stress hormones, which can inhibit the production of melatonin, the sleep hormone.

🌙 Ever found yourself spending endless hours in your child's room, trying to lull them to sleep? All the while, feeling guilty for not quite getting there...

🧸 Remember, sleep is an autonomous process. You can't "make" your baby sleep. You're not to blame if they don't drift off! Your role as a parent is to provide a conducive sleep environment and all the love and security they need. You're already doing your best for your little one!

🧡 It's okay to take a break, to let go. Your child's sleep depends on various factors: their developmental stage, their day, their mood, their maturity... and many other things that are uniquely theirs. Sleep struggles don't question your parenting skills at all. You're amazing and you're doing your best every day. ❤️
