Blåkulla Spirit Travel at Valborg/Walpurgis!
Why we do it:
At Valborg/Valpurgis we participate in liberating and celebrate the force arising from the Earth at this time of the year. For this purpose, we travel in spirit and mind to the mythological birthplace of the world. The mountain arising out of the ocean representing Land itself. On it, the pole -the Tree itself – is raised, so that the rejuvenating force is spread throughout the land. For your spirit, for your energy, for your body and for others in your world to be nourished, to open, grow and blossom.
How we do it:
Stir motion in your mind using a broom representing wind or simply dance around in a circle, stir motion in the sounds around you by singing or simply hummin rhythmic sounds intended to stir. Keep the goal firm in mind and that you are travelling there shortly. Immerse yourself in rhythmic action as if building up momentum. When the momentum is strong, lay down and take off though the chimney and up to the winds, or into a rushing river and allow it to take you to the destination you have been keeping in mind. At arrival- however it appears – just spend time there noticing, dance and add your joy to the celebration.
Where we do it:
The locations to have in mind are physical. There are several locations traditionally associated with Blåkulla (the “blue/black hill” – which is the soil of Land). Aim for that. At the location be open both in the space and in time, so that presences and spirits from the past and the present are all allowed to appear. Pay no mind to how clear appearances are etc. Participation and purpose is more important. When done, we leave, return with our minds and spirit fully to the body and allow things to integrate as it wants to without us making too much of a story about it.
Why do it together?
Simply because doing it together creates a greater momentum.
Contrary to the beliefs of non-practitioners, Spirit travel is not hard. Why you are doing it is more important than gathering personal experience in 4D colour.
