Day 3 – Our first day at the school in Cisternino began with a memorable welcome. We were greeted by the school orchestra. Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to observe lessons and visit classrooms. Meeting teachers and students gave us valuable insights into Italian education and provided many new ideas.
Later that day, we visited the UNESCO World Heritage site of Alberobello, famous for its trulli houses.

Day 4 –Our final day at the school gave us even more opportunities to learn and connect. The primary school was celebrating a Sports Day, and the primary teachers together with our assistant principal had the chance to participate in the activities.

In the evening, we were invited on a guided tour of the beautiful town of Cisternino. The day concluded with a farewell dinner together with staff from the Italian school.

Thank you, Cisternino – we hope to see you again soon! 🇮🇹✨

DAY 2 IN REGGIO CALABRIA FOR THE MARCO & ALBERTO IPPOLITO PROJECT -26 🌍✍️🖼️

One of our students describes and reports from day 2:
”The day started with us having a croissant with nutella for breakfast. Then we took a taxi to the other part of the school we visited yesterday. It was a school specializing in art. They had different courses with different specializations; fashion, painting, sculpture, architecture and more advanced sculptures. We learned a lot of educational things and we also got to try sculpting with clay. The school had a museum with art from past and present students as well as art from friends of the founder of the school. After that, we had lunch at Ninnis’ bar and in the afternoon we had some free time. In the evening we participated in the official opening of the project week with social activities.”

DAY 1 IN REGGIO CALABRIA FOR THE MARCO & ALBERTO IPPOLITO PROJECT -26 🌍✍️🖼️

A student describes and reports from day 1:
”We started the day with croissants for breakfast 🥐 Then we went to the school Liceo Classico T. Campanella where we got a tour of what it looked like but also learned a little about their school system in Italy and the history behind the school. We were divided into different small groups and got to do different things like record podcasts and play volleyball 🏐 We thought it was very fun and educational. Then we had a good three course lunch at the restaurant. We bonded very well with the girls from Romania and we became good friends. We talked a little about what kind of music we listen to, what we are looking forward to on the trip and lots of other things. We also went to a museum where we got to see statues that had been in the sea for over 2000 years! You could clearly see the anatomy of the body and we got to learn about the history behind it and also look at other historical objects that belonged to them. After that we had some free time and discovered the city, but also the beach which, even though we had bad weather, made the city even nicer in our eyes 🌧️ Then we went back to the restaurant and continued talking to the girls from Romania 🇷🇴 We changed Instagram to be able to stay in touch. Lastly, we took a taxi home and chilled a bit in our rooms.”

🇪🇺 Erasmus+ DAY 2 SO.S project. A field trip to Milan, the European capital of economy and industry but also fashion. Italian students showed us around in the city and told us about the history of it. We visited the modern living area that is called vertical forest where trees are planted on the building making the apartments look like a forest and contributes to more friendly environment. Next, we visited skyscrapers, Uni Credit Tower among others. After that we landed in a peaceful green oasis, a botanical garden in the middle of Milan. Finally, we saw the castle and the Duomo cathedral. Unforgettable trip to an amazing city.
The day ended with an opening ceremony for Timeline Film Festival.

What happens when students are given digital tools not just to complete tasks — but to create?
During the D’ARTIDE piloting phase, one thing became increasingly clear:
students engage differently when technology becomes a medium for artistic choice, experimentation, and personal expression.
Across the partner schools, digital activities did not function simply as technical exercises.
They became spaces for:
• collaboration
• visual thinking
• confidence building
• and the sharing of different perspectives
When students are invited to create rather than simply consume, participation changes.
The classroom becomes more open, more dynamic, and more inclusive.
This is one of the most valuable lessons emerging from the D’ARTIDE piloting process — and one that will continue to shape the next stages of the project.

We’ve reached an exciting milestone in D’ARTIDE!

✅ WP3/A4 – Pilot Testing & Feedback Collection is now complete.
Over the past period, partner schools, educators, and students explored the virtual activities and digital tools in real learning settings, testing not only how they work technically, but also how clear, engaging, and inclusive they feel in practice. The
feedback we collected is extremely valuable—full of concrete insights on what works well and what can be improved to better support diverse learners and classroom
realities.

Next up: 🔍 WP3/A5 – Evaluation & Revision, led by Hub Nicosia.
This phase is where we turn feedback into action: refining instructions, strengthening usability and accessibility, improving the learning flow, and polishing the overall experience so that the WP3 package is ready for wider use and transfer.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed time, energy, and honest input—this is exactly what co-creation in Erasmus+ projects should look like.

More updates soon as we shape the final WP3 outcomes together🚀
