ZYYX Labs is a proud partner of Chalmers Formula Student that was unveiled this week at Chalmers. ZYYX have produced some important high-strength proCarbon parts for Sweden’s first electric all-wheel drive formula student car. Shown in the pictures are the steering wheel and the radiator cooling duct, which were some of the parts produced in our ZYYX Pro printer with proCarbon, our reinforced carbon fiber filament. After strength tests, the steering wheel was found to be much stronger than needed, so then steering wheel was printed with only 30% infill in order to make it light.
Chalmers Formula Student bridges the gap between Engineering Education and Industry by training students in a real-life project and finally put their skills to the test in competitions with various other teams from the rest of the world.
In June/July the track competitions on begins in Europe.
