🇳🇴👋Greetings from the remote town of Kirkenes! This year’s VALE course has a special focus on remote leadership, in all its forms. The fjords around us and the thick layers of snow and ice remind us every day about the extreme conditions we sometimes face as leaders. How do we adapt? How do we turn remoteness and our circumstances into our superpowers?

🖼️As you can see from the photo, extreme conditions don’t stop our participants from doing a fun group activity! ☃️❄️

❄️The VALE 2026 challenge had our course participants explore the topic of remote leadership. How to lead teams successfully without physical contact? How to ensure inclusion, wellbeing and fair treatmenr in hybrid and fully remote settings? With four strong presentations, the Challenge culminated the Jury’s detailed feedback to each team.

💪Preparing a presentation in remote conditions over the past 5 weeks in between the modules was an important challenge and corner stone ofthe participants’ learning journey.
