🔹Previous experience in conducting interviews or filling out surveys is preferred.
🔹Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with people.
🔹Good scientific writing skills is preferred

Mr. Adam Mohammed Ibrahim Adam is an Assistant Professor of General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Gezira in Wad Madani, Sudan, and a Consultant of General Surgery at Wadmadani Teaching Hospital. His expertise and work are deeply rooted in the context of Sudan.
Dr. Michael Mwandri, MD, MMed, PhD is a Trauma & Humanitarian Surgeon, Global Surgery Advocate, and Medical Educator based in Arusha, Tanzania. With over 15 years of experience in trauma care and humanitarian surgery across Africa and the Middle East, he collaborates with the ICRC on weapon-wounded trauma operations, is a lead Cochrane reviewer on trauma systems, and contributes to developing surgical protocols and training in resource-limited settings.

Join us for a critical session at the 2nd African Forum of Global Surgery focusing on Global Surgery Research in Conflict Settings. We are delighted to feature these distinguished panelists:
Prof. Kathryn Chu is the inaugural director of the Centre of Global Surgery and a Professor at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons with a background from Stanford, UCSF, and LSHTM (Fulbright Scholar), she is a prolific author with over 130 publications. Prof. Chu has extensive experience with Médecins Sans Frontières, focusing her research on improving access to quality surgical care, particularly in humanitarian and conflict contexts like Sudan and Somalia.
Dr. Barnabas Alayende is a specialist general surgeon and Assistant Professor at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) in Rwanda. He co-chairs the Center for Equity in Global Surgery and directs UGHE's Masters in Global Health Delivery, Global Surgery Option. Dr. Alayende has significantly contributed to surgical system strengthening across sub-Saharan Africa, including leading trauma readiness evaluations in conflict-affected Northern Nigeria and developing innovative, equity-driven surgical curricula.
