This isn’t a "this is my side hustle” kind of thing.
It’s about reframing how you use your skills, and making it work for you as an income generating business.
A children’s activity business doesn’t replace performing.
It supports it.
It gives you income you can rely on, space to breathe, and the freedom to stay creative without being at the mercy of the next casting cycle.
That’s the shift I explore in Performers Who Pivot.
Not hustling harder.
Not giving up the art.
Just building something sustainable, aligned, and rooted in what you already do best.
This isn’t a step back.
It’s the wider view.

You’re not broken. You’re evolving. and you’re not alone.
There’s a reason so many performers are pivoting right now: the industry isn’t always built to sustain us, but our creativity is. and when you learn how to channel that into a business rooted in your values, your purpose, and your joy — everything changes.
This carousel walks through 5 signs it might be time for you to pivot.

Confidence isn’t loudness - it’s knowing you’re allowed to take up space. Drama gives children room to try things, fail safely, and rise again with their whole chest.
Confidence is built in the doing, and our sessions make sure every child gets that chance.

Performers massively underestimate themselves.
We’re trained to believe our value only shows up under lights, on a stage, or in front of a camera - but that’s nonsense.
The truth?
Your instincts, your presence, your ability to pull people in… that’s gold in the education and children’s activity space.
You already know how to hold attention.
You already know how to create atmosphere.
You already know how to make learning feel alive.
Most people can’t do that.
You can. Effortlessly.
That’s why performers make exceptional educators - long before the teaching degrees, long before the lesson plans. And it’s why so many performers are quietly building thriving, joyful businesses with the skills they always thought were “just performing.”
Performers Who Pivot breaks this all the way down.
If you’ve ever wondered what else your talent can do… this is it.

Curiosity is the things that makes children lean in, look closer, and ask the questions some of us stopped asking years ago. Drama feeds curiosity. It invites them to wonder, to explore, to imagine wildly without being told to “settle down.” Or "do it like this".
When we protect their curiosity, we protect their power to learn on their own terms.

So many performers hit that point where the auditions slow down, the money isn’t stretching, and you’re sat there thinking, “Is this it? Is this the life I’m meant to keep fighting for?”
I’ve been there.
And here’s the truth nobody told us - your performing arts skills aren’t the problem. The industry’s instability is.
You don’t have to abandon your creativity to build a stable, joyful, purposeful life.
You can take everything you already know - expression, play, confidence-building, storytelling - and turn it into something that actually pays you and lights you up.
That’s exactly why I wrote Performers Who Pivot.
To show you the path that so many of us had to figure out the hard way.
If this carousel hit home, the book will hit even deeper.
Your evolution isn't failure. It’s the next act.

Some of us spend years hunting for “the idea,” when really… the idea is usually hiding in plain sight.
In your joy.
In your ease.
In the things you do without even thinking.
This carousel is a little nudge to stop over-engineering your purpose and start paying attention to what’s already flowing through you.
If you’re a performer or creative sitting there wondering what you could actually build… this is the path.
Find the flow.
Find the edge.
Test it in the real world.
No more waiting for permission. Just movement.
And honestly - what’s one thing you do so effortlessly that you know others struggle with?
Tell me in the comments. Let’s see what you’re sitting on.

Boldness doesn’t just appear out of nowhere. Children grow it by stepping into stories, taking risks, and finding their voice. That’s why drama matters. It gives them the courage to show up as themselves - loudly, proudly, and without apology.
Life really does require boldness, and we’re here to help them build it.
