Healthy parrot food that gives back to conservation, and free parrot care education This is about doing things properly, no fluff, no nonsense.
The Aviary was born from a simple idea, to give parrots better food and, in turn, better lives. We’re a small UK-based team who care deeply about parrot welfare, both in our homes and in the wild. Our mission is to create honest, healthy products that support real birds and real people, and to give back through conservation efforts that make a genuine difference.

Even water can be enriching. It doesn’t have to be all about food or expensive toys. Turn your bird’s drink into something tasty and fun with fresh fruit or vegetables for their own version of water bobbing

You can still place your orders as normal, just please be aware they won’t be shipped until Thursday! I haven’t take a break since launch so I’m very excited!
What an insane weekend. Thank you endlessly for supporting our small business. By purchasing from The Aviary you’re not only enriching your parrot’s lives, but you’re supporting our small business and you’re supporting conservation efforts for parrots in Honduras. Please bare with me whilst I catch up and restock, I really appreciate your patience and understanding. Here’s to many more parrots improving their health! 🥂
Parrots need clay. It’s as simple as that. Instincts drive parrots to seek out mineral sources, even clinging to buildings in and around London to get minerals from mortar! Your parrot at home has this same desire, they just can’t act on it.
Fill the gaps in their diet with our pure calcium bentonite clay, which can be used in so many different ways!

Chop up parrot-safe vegetables into small pieces, or big chunks, or even whole or sliced on a skewer, for fun and healthy eating. The more often your parrots are exposed to healthy vegetables and whole-foods, the quicker they will accept them as part of your diet. Don't be fooled into thinking offering it once and watching your parrot turn their beak up, means you should give up.
Parrots are complex, and require persistence and patience when offering healthy food. Much like a toddler!

If you're looking for a chop recipe for parrots that is absolutely brimming with benefits that enhance a parrot's life (and keep the vet away!) then this list of parrot-safe veggies should help.
Change up the vegetables you offer, and don't forget raw is always best. Cooking is nearly always unnecessary - parrots don't steam their vegetation in the wild. If your parrot is far more likely to eat slightly softer hard-veg, like celeriac, then a very light steaming isn't the end of the world. But heat destroys vitamins and minerals, so try raw first.
