I recently studied something called Neurographica Art (separate post on that).
As the name suggests, it's ART. A form of art that connects you to your deep subconscious mind and helps you connect with what you truly love and how you really want to be in your life.
During the process, I found that I was using a lot of pink in my art, but I really connect with is a specific type of 'orange'!
So my coach asked me,
"How do you feel when you see and have pink?
I replied, "it's ok. It has a peaceful and calming energy depending on the shade."
"What is the energy of 'PowerBabe?", she asked.
"And my answer was, ORANGE ...like the sun."
"So why do you use pink in your logo? And is that the energy you want to share with your clients?
You need more of the ORANGE that YOU LOVE into your logo...and THAT'S the colour you need to have in your environment!
So my dears, I'm making that change and I can say it already feels so much more aligned to me and what I deliver in my coaching programmes.

I love this message by Churchill and often go to it in times of need.
It's timely and apt as today is the Indian festival of 'Makar Sankranti', also popularly known as the Kite Festival.
Makara or Makar Sankranti is celebrated across the Indian subcontinent with some regional variations. It is known by different names and celebrated with different customs in different Indian states and South Asian countries.
It is predominantly a 'harvest' festival and celebrated by kite flying competitions and events in Western India.
The main special and celebratory food is '𝗧𝗶𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗼𝗼𝘀' or sweet sesame and jaggery balls.

CONFLICT!
A word we have all heard often.
What does it mean in the context of our emotions.
Simply, when something exists in our subconscious or unconscious mind, but does not exist in our external human or vice versa, it creates 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁.
Conflict happens due to unprocessed emotions at a deep rooted level.
It creates
1. feelings of being unsettled
2. reactiveness as agains responsiveness
3. triggered emotional states
And more often than not, indecision. Sitting on the fence (which can be very painful, both physically and metaphorically)
It indicates a state of mind where your decisions and choices made are out of 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲.
The opposite of conflict is clarity.

I hit a wall!
There. I've come out and said it!
Few months ago I experienced something I've never felt before....
UTTER, TOTAL BURNOUT
And I cannot describe in words how it felt. I will try though.
This is what I experienced :
- unable to get out of bed
- extreme exhaustion without the energy to even smile!
- no interest in my life (𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿)
- 'what's the point of all of this??' was my standard state of mind.
- snappy and reactive with my son.
- a constant fear and dread whether I had inherited my mom's condition (she passed away from chronic Dementia)
And I must say the experience was horrifying.
My doc sent me for a few tests and all was great and normal and she found no need to put me on any medical treatment (thank goodness) and instead asked me to practice mindfulness.
But I just couldn't settle down! It all felt like such a horrible downward spiral.
And more than anything, there was this inner conflict as I felt guilty towards my son for not being my 100% with him.
On speaking with my coach, she helped me realise that I'd hit BURNOUT...and that it's something that only creeps up slowly over a period of time and BAM...all of a sudden it GETS YOU...like a thorny bush around your ankles!
We did some regular work together and it helped me to 'resurrect' that version of me that I thought had gone 6 feet under with the horrible experience.
