'It does not make sense to pay an artist to get something in three weeks, if you can get it for essentially nothing' No, this is not panic or drama or exaggeration. And we cannot ignore the questions that are arising, very, very quickly for the creative sectors. The more I learn about this (and yes, use some of this technology) - the more I sense that AI, as Kevin Kelly, Cal Newport and Elon Musk have suggested, will have a greater change in the long term, than we currently imagine. It is not going away. No - it may not replace our value, human ideation, creativity. But, it will change how creative and industries people work just as mobiles, computers and web has. Robotics and automation will inevitably change physical industries. AI will inevitably change the knowledge industries. As Cal Newport has pointed out, there will be some dark days for anyone who is a knowledge or creative worker. It is naive to think otherwise. But, as an optimist, he points out there may be a lot of boring administration, research and process work, that we can all enjoy consigning to the past...
