About the project:
This project is about Redefining places and functions to change the typical idea of schools, its social limitations, and buildings typologies in general, also to improve the learning environment; which leads directly to, not just maximizing the student’s productivity levels, but also to give our students the passion to learn.
The choice of Mayo community school was built on, the fact that Mayo lacks any possible way of entertainment. Most lands there has been sold, and there isn’t much space to build a place where they can relax, entertain or do any kind of activity.
Standing from the concept (architecture isn’t just about solutions, but also about meeting the needs, rising communities and their quality of life), I created a shared space as a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources. Using public schools as hubs and community centres, offering a range of support and opportunities to children, youth, families and communities, adding open spaces and greeneries as a park; to improve the quality of life and encourage the local businesses.

About the project:
This project aims to find both urban and architectural design related solutions to enhance the living conditions of refugees in eastern Sudan by integrating them into communities.
The Shegerab Refugee Camp, often referred to as ‘Little Eritrea’, is a camp that sits at the end of an unpaved road in Eastern Sudan. The majority of these refugees are young and educated Eritreans, Ethiopians as well as Somalis between the age of 18-25 who flee military regimes and consider Sudan their launching pad towards a new life.
The concept comes directly from filling the gaps by connecting between the nodes distributing housing units between them and connecting them with social activities and public park for whole city.
